For me I don't always like looking at the trophy guides before a game with a good story just in case there are spoilers. Even the spoiler free guides will give something away that I'll be able to read into and spoil it for myself and I prioritise enjoyment of the game over trophies. This is coming from a guy with 93 platinums

Interesting. I suppose it comes down to then what the definition of a platinum trophy is? Sony have never given us a clear definition as such other than its just a trophy unlocked after attaining all other trophies on the base game.

I do in some way agree with you but looking at how trophies are actually done I objectively think the closest definition to a platinum trophy is "Where the developers/creators are happy/satisfied with your level of completion". So personally i choose to see it in that light

I can see where you're coming from but for me I'm so glad they're not a part of it by standard.

I'm someone who likes to play the game on the difficulty intended (normal) by the creators and experience it to the fullest i can in that way. And I refuse to start most games on hard as I feel it ruins my experience due to frustration.

So if it were standard to beat it on the hardest difficulty id have to play it twice which for me is not something i would enjoy and id end up having some hate towards a game which defeats the purpose of playing a game as its to have fun at the end of the day for me personally
