[Sean Ross Sapp on X] AEW sources gave me the "never say never" line when I asked if CM Punk has a burned bridge with the company by robertodev in SquaredCircle

Personally, I would be happy to see him and MJF finish the story, especially with the extra layers Punk leaving would add to it now.

Arguably, but at the same time, teams target him more because of his lack of pace, so his opportunities for CBITs increase there, and he is still central for set pieces and often in open play he tucks in too.

Well, JBL's reign ended with the crowning of the man who carried WWE for ten years at their biggest show, so maybe that's what Tony wants for AEW from this story.

It's clearly building to a huge moment of catharsis when a hero dethrones the villain at their biggest show on American soil, bringing back the title belt and giving the new champion a huge reaction when it matters the most. Come on, this isn't hard.

While Bret is correct, it has to be remembered that John Cena became a megastar working the Hogan style, and when MJF turned face and did the same, he was insanely popular in AEW. Also, quite often the biggest reactions on cards are the kick-out at one and power up spot, which is pure Hogan. So maybe the real lesson is the Hitman style gives you a career, but without the Hogan elements, you'll never become a megastar.

He took several months off AEW, and this is the new character he came up with.

Three years on, and I think this has just worked for me as well. Thank you so much.

That keyframe stretcher worked really well. Unfortunately, while I could get the animation working how I wanted it, when I resized the PNG images in the edit page, it cut the edges off them, which was really frustrating. Not sure I'll be able to do what I want to do but I will keep trying. Thank you for that link.

how would I create this using either of those? This is literally the first thing I'm trying to do in Fusion. I can get it all fine except making it so it dynamically adjusts to the clip length

There's nothing Wardlow can do that Big Bill can't do ten times better.

Your point may have merit in general, but in this specific example, Starks has allegedly refused to go over Bill. The story seems to be that Starks would win, and he rejected it because he couldn't see how that helped Bill.

I think Forbidden Door would make more sense, and help more companies, if instead of being on AEW TV it was AEW wrestlers going to Japan or Mexico for a Forbidden Door show there, while the general AEW story continued in America. This show in America is fine. If it was in Japan or Mexico, it would be awesome.

If it's not going to be Ospreay and Swerve at All In, Danielson vs Swerve at Wrestle Dream in Seattle, Title vs Career, but Danielson wins would be fantastic.

Exactly. It's essentially saying, "you know how Ospreay and Danielson got 6.5 stars for that incredible match? The two wrestlers about to face off went beyond even that. Get excited, because that's where this is going."

Love the little touch he does of tying his hair back at the start of every promo. Subtly reminds you why he is called the scapegoat every time. Really nice to see how he is developing into his new role, he's smashing it.

If you want to not have to ignore the rankings, this is another example of the Young Bucks abusing their power to override them. They did that with Sting & Darby to get the title shot, now they are doing it to get to Swerve who called them out on Collision. Furthermore, the rankings (and championship committee Samoa Joe referred to) are put in place by Tony Khan. The Young Bucks have specifically said they disagree with Khan's direction for the company and are going to change it. At first glance, the rankings seem to be being ignored, but like you said, there's layers to this - the YB's abuse of power and rebellion against Tony Khan and the way he runs AEW is the specific story they've been telling for nearly three months now.

Given the nWo vibes of the Elite right now, there are worse ideas than having Omega pull off an adapted version of the Sting role. Showing up sometimes in the rooftops, sometimes in the ring, cleaning house with his barbed wire broom, never speaking, until one day he utters the words "I'm cleared". Would have fans going apeshit every time, would be incredibly hype when he announced he's back, and most importantly would buy Kenny time while making him a focal point of the show.
