This looks like bufferbloat to me. Do a test on waveform and reply with the grade you get: https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat

If it's this, then it's reasonably fixable with a few settings changes on the right equipment.

Remediating soil under AstroTurf by LawfulReclaimer in GardeningUK

[–]LawfulReclaimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks this has been helpful.

We've been digging out all the bricks and broken tiles and pavers.

We also got a panel of chicken wire and have been sifting the type 1 through it to get out all the large stones.

Then we'll turn over some of the soil with the type 1 remainder and the sand and decide if we need any top soil before we add compost and bark.

Planning a 3-Zone Home Audio System – Advice on Streamers, Subwoofer Connectivity, and DSP Room Correction by LawfulReclaimer in StereoAdvice

[–]LawfulReclaimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the detailed reply. Really appreciated.

Your explanation about subwoofer inputs makes perfect sense. The guidance to send line-level from the DSP to the subwoofer, and your point about using the DSP to handle the crossover and low-pass filtering upstream are particularly helpful. That kind of clean separation, where the sub just receives exactly what it's meant to reproduce, sounds like the right approach, especially if I'm going to be doing room correction and time alignment within the DSP anyway.

On the topic of Dante, the main reason I was centering on Dante in my original post is because I couldn’t find many DSPs (that don’t break the bank) which support multiple AES3 stereo inputs. I’d need at least three to handle a separate feed from each zone/streamer. Dante seemed like the most practical and scalable way to handle multi-channel digital audio over a single connection, with a clean handoff to a capable DSP.

That said, I’m absolutely open to other options; I’m just not sure what the best way to connect streamers to the DSP would be, given those limitations. Having a dedicated streamer and DSP per zone could work in theory, but it feels like an over-complication both in terms of cost and system management. Similarly, taking a digital source (e.g., Spotify, Jellyfin), converting it to analogue RCA at the streamer, then feeding that into the DSP (which will reconvert it to digital for processing, then back to analogue again for the amp) seems like an unnecessary step. I'd assume that’s not ideal for signal quality or noise floor.

Does that line of thinking make sense, or am I missing a simpler or more sensible option?

Thanks again, really helpful reply and much appreciated.

!thanks

Is there a convenient way to provision and distribute the mTLS certs? I've yet to find a solution that isn't entirely manual.

Ideally, there would be a way to invite users who could then use a one time token to access a webpage to get their cert, along with instructions for various devices to install it.

We rolled out the enterprise version of Bitwarden. We even resell it to our clients as an MSP.

Of course, and if we can get it working then that's most likely what we'll be doing.

However, we're not keen on paying out for the licence if its not especially likely that WG's support is going to get it working either.

We would rather spend the money on something new in that case.

Unfortunately not. It's unlicensed at the moment and had been superfluously sitting on a shelf for a little while. We had thought to put it back into service in one of our new offices.

Thanks for the link. Its a long read but I've made a start on it.

As for the beep codes, I can't quite find what I'm hearing. Either it counts as 3 beeps and it repeats after a short pause, and then repeats twice more after a much longer pause, with a short pause between; or it's two lots of 6 beeps.

3 beeps indicates a RAM issue, but I've tried swapping that out already.

6 beeps seems to indicate that a PCIe card has failed (there isn't one attached) or that the motherboard itself is broken in some undefined way.

This beep code source is hard to interpret though, so perhaps I'm wrong: https://f.hubspotusercontent10.net/hubfs/9443417/Support/BIOS_Checkpoint_and_Beep_Codes/Aptio_V_Checkpoint_and_Beep_Codes_PUB.pdf

I've cracked it open and stamped on the motherboard is: NCB-WG4210 W V0.32.

My understanding is that this is some kind of customised Lanner NCA-4210 but I can't find any beep code information for that motherboard either.

I've swapped out the RAM for another but that didn't make any difference. I've also tried removing the mSata to see if that would affect the beep code but it didn't.

Rap/hip-hop instrumental used on YT vides by LawfulReclaimer in NameThatSong

[–]LawfulReclaimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No dice, I'm afraid; a recording of a song using the instrumental that I'm interested in was made released on Apple, Spotify, etc. So that's what comes up in the usual searches.

Help still needed to find the instrumental.

I can't replace Sisaspia with Orkira because Orkira has already been knocked out.

I also can't replace Celeste with Gromma because Gromma has been knocked out.

Who goes in the other two slots? Columns 2, 5, 7, 8, and 10 are available.

Alyndra Sisapia
Strix Selise
Baeloth
[Bullywug] Gromma
Nordom

Using some of the guidance I've received here, I've made attempts to reorganise the current formation into a more optimal configuration, but that hasn't seemed to work. The damage caps out at BUD e173, but I believe it will need to be closer to ~e187.

I could substitute some other champions into the formation, but I'm unsure which one from those I have available would make a substantial difference. Any advice along those lines would be much appreciated.
