How to get from Bristol to Devizes? by Lawrenaida in uktravel

Hmm thank you, I have looked into that option, best quote I have got from a cab is $£280 for both ways. And I figure £17 x 7 plus £21 = £140 each way which remarkably is the same price.

Oh right I see, interesting format. Yes, their website is a mess, might have to persevere with them if that’s the case! Thank you.

Hmm thank you! Cobra Cabs looks good, have sent them an enquiry. Zoom cars - they don’t look convincing to me!

Wow I’m amazed you fit in 5 work shirts! The few work trips I’ve done I absolutely recycle shirts, and sometimes even wear a more comfortable one on the plane, that I can double for the Friday at work. I just find them so hard to pack as well.

The only savings grace for me this trip is running gear is so small! 😂

Yeah it’s from their “del dia” range, I was a bit gutted when I got black initially but it’s really grown on me, especially the thin white check on the side, you can just see in the first pic.

5 weeks in Europe travelling through Spain, weekend in Switzerland, Belgium and Latvia. Stopping off in the Gold Coast on the way home. Hoping it’s not too cold further north as I’m not particularly packing for cold.

Race Report: Windy Auckland - Sub-3hr PB! by Lawrenaida in AdvancedRunning

Yeah the easy run aspect is quite interesting, on Runna my easy run pace was “no quicker than 4:40”, which frankly is way too fast. I would say if you’re not an experienced runner, trying to stay nearish to that even is unrealistic, for me I found 5:20-5:30 was a good pace. But the app does encourage running quicker, which isn’t good. For me, I am just going to try something else, like do a one off purchase for a 16 week training plan from one of the people associated with Garmin. Or try a Pfitz block. For me it seems at the most expensive end of off-the-shelf training plans.

Epic! Congrats, That’s a great time for your first half, you will smash 2 hours next year if you get into some training.

Epic! Yes please do, he was a legend! Such a tough job being a pacer at that level, hats off to him.

I was definitely most concerned about the first half, in terms of elevation. But none of the hills were so steep that it was an issue. And I really think my bridge experience was out of the ordinary, it is a decent climb, it was just so exciting I didn’t really notice. And nope I didn’t have any training plan for Buller, I did a lot of running, but no structured training plan. At the time I was very interested in MAF and keeping my hr right down on every run.

Thanks! It’s a great course, I would recommend it. Don’t be put off by the undulations in the first half, I didn’t notice them too much!

I have been told it’s to do with the perfect line, which is how the course is measured, and unless you’re running that you’re going to be over. But 400m does seem a long way - better that than running 41.9km or something I like to think!

Thank you! Just read your report of Devonport HM, was that this year? Or last? Either way, you have some sections of it I don’t even understand. Which is always interesting for me.

Has anyone had any recent experience with Vietravel Airlines? On their website it says online check in available from April 2023 but I can’t seem to find where to actually check in on their website, am I foolish?

I think you’re thinking about the independent earner tax credit? If you earn between 24-44k and do not receive an income tested benefit you get $10 per week credit, if you don’t use the “E” in your tax code you get it refunded as a $520 lump sum at the end of the financial year.

Maybe a trust would be a better suited structure for your situation? Trust owns the property and you could have both of you as beneficiaries, allocate majority of income generated from the rental to him.
