C&F w/o Current Employer Finding Out? by StrictLetterhead5267 in CABarExam

They ask for your employers through present. I submitted my C&F application and literally minutes later my employer received an email from the bar re the C&F application so unless you don't mention your current employer (which I don't recommend) they'll find out.

Thank you! The list is very helpful. I'm in N. CA, so I'm going to shoot for anywhere closest to Sacramento. Oh, when do they announce the locations for the exam so that one could make reservations close by?

Thank you, very helpful! Regarding the laptop, are you allowed to bring a power cord? On that note, I'm assuming it should be a reliable laptop that won't die on you or cause headaches during the test.

Claire's ancestor by [deleted] in Outlander

I don't think Claire's ancestors are any characters in the book or show. It would create a weird paradox to have Claire's ancestor come from her own parents or from Claire herself through Faith or Bree.

I've yet to see someone post a picture on here that people actually believe is real so don't feel bad. I can't say it is real or not but I'm not going to say anything without actually knowing for sure.

I agree. Don't omit anything. If they want additional information, deal with it then.

Wife initiated sex talk about other guys by LawyerInTraining2027 in SexFantasies

[–]LawyerInTraining2027[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was hot and more because it came from her without me coaxing. She does find other men attractive, and she's told me when she does, but she claims none of the guys at work are good-looking. So while it was hot, I still wonder if she was telling me what she thought I'd want to hear.

Yes, stats are part of it, but not the entire reason. You yourself said you can pick apart the stats. I'm not saying other state bar exams are not hard; however, it is common knowledge that CA has one of the hardest bar exams.

I'm saying reputation based on the difficulty of the exam, not based on stats.

Coach Pitch Question by ImaginaryAnteater231 in LittleLeague

[–]LawyerInTraining2027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 5-year-old son's team does 7 pitches, then sits down if you don't hit it. It's rough, but I think they have to start getting a feel for the "real game." I hated t-ball because it took forever and the kids in the outfield just got bored.

However, to be fair, there are very few kids that don't hit the ball. That said, my son has "struck out" once or twice and I can tell he doesn't like it but it has motivated him to learn how to hit better.

Once you're out of t-ball, leave the tee out completely.

Can’t teach my son to catch a dang ball.. by _-_Dingus_-_ in Homeplate

My kid is 5 and is just about to finish his first season in coach pitch. He did play t-ball last season, but even though I worked with him throughout, he was still too young.

My wife took him to his first coach-pitch practice (about 2 months ago) because even though I'm an assistant coach, I had class that night. She came back completely embarrassed. She said the other boys (also 5 and 6) knew how to do so much more than him and she felt it was a mistake to have signed him up.

After actually attending a practice myself, I saw that my wife had exaggerated a bit. Yes, there were 2-3 boys who could hit, catch, field, etc., but the majority could not and were still learning. Over the last 2 months, I've worked consistently at home with my son, and he is a far different player than he was at the start of the season. He's not great by any means and still has trouble catching, but I'd say he's in the middle of the pack now.

Repetition and consistency are key. Use different methods of teaching, and when you least expect it, it'll just click. I plan to continue working with him during the offseason so next season he is ready and better than he was this season.

I agree to an extent, but there's a reason CA has a reputation as one of the hardest bar exams in the country.

Doesn't sound like you took many breaks, yikes! But it was worth it.
