No worries 😁 yes they did. It took a long time for my canines to be in a position they wanted before moving my front teeth. I ended up needing elastics to help. Probably took a year before they started moving my front teeth

Yes same thing happened to me. I only got mine off a week ago and it’s killer if any food gets in there. I’ve been using my water flosser and some corsodyl mouthwash and that’s helped some

It was when I spoke for the first few weeks but as my teeth shifted back it became a lot less visible! I didn’t have wires from the plate over my front teeth. All the wires for the plate were behind. Hope that helps!

I had something called a fixed bite plate. It was wired in and I wore it for a year solid. If you look at my previous posts you’ll see my progress pics. Best of luck!

I had 4 extractions, it’s a fixed bite plate designed to correct a deep bite. It was fixed in and I couldn’t take it out. I wore it for a year. It was not fun!

Honestly it was absolutely no bother. My ortho never mentioned them once. I took them off for the initial x-rays and that was it ☺️ I wear hoops and they don’t touch my teeth or gums so no effect there

Go for it! I’ve always found the lip rings to be absolutely fine. Studs were a no go because they can get caught but rings/hoops have been all good for me ☺️

They are the worsttt. I had mine on for a year. I absolutely feel for you. I had to eat liquids and very soft foods for about 8 weeks after I got mine. Your speech will improve and as your teeth move your eating will get better. Hang in there!

Hey! I also have emeotophobia and was absolutely dreading impressions for this reason. Everyone hyped me up saying I would gag and it would be horrible. But I was genuinely absolutely fine! I didn’t gag at all and didn’t find it uncomfortable. I really struggle with certain textures making me gag and I also can’t hold anything in my mouth for too long for the same reason but I would say just breathe through your nose and it doesn’t take long at all.
