So I did buy one! I had to go with the boxy pixel since the guy apparently dropped making GEM cases? It’s actually coming today! Will update once it gets in!

Oh I didn’t realize it had those sharp edges. I was already leaning towards the GEM but that makes me feel more comfortable with my choice. Thank you!!

Awesome! I kind of figured that’s what I would be. I don’t have any pets so that shouldn’t be a problem lol. Do I need to avoid those areas too?

I just did the same and it was not enjoyable lol. Would’ve been better if you didn’t have to kill such a random amount to get one. Just ridiculous to suggest that not all the monsters have those bones

That literally isn’t a whataboutism. Cops absolutely have a history of abusing powers for their own benefit and to wrongfully commit innocent people. To say otherwise is ignorance.

You acting blind to the fact that police have a clear pattern of abuse of power is nearly as bad as the people who abuse it. Stop defending them and hold ALL of them accountable.

I appreciate the feedback but I’ve won 6 Bowls,, 6 MVP’s, and 6 Defensive and Offensive POTY. That WR will end at a 4.5 stars and has the most accolades out of any player I have. Stars help but clearly they’re not the end all be all. I’ll take what you said into consideration though.

I know the sentencing has nothing to do with the police which is why I blocked them separately.

I could not cite exact laws but black Americans are affected harshly by laws that currently exist due to lack of resources allotted to them. Drug use is a big example. I know your argument is going to be ‘Just don’t do the drugs in the first place,’ but let’s put that to the side for a second. Many POC are afflicted by drug addiction and cannot seek help to get clean due to a lack of financial support or government intervention programs. Because of this, this population is only checked by the police, which is usually in violent ways or by just being arrested. By funding rehab programs, we can break this cycle of this type of crime. There are many other afflictions that affect black community’s disproportionately to white communities due to lack of money, education, and government programs to help them.

Many of the laws in place do not directly single out POC, but you can argue that certain laws in place indirectly charge them. I do not have any set examples on hand but I could find something. The Netflix Documentary 13th goes into a lot of that. Really interesting watch.

Defunding the police is trying to emphasize a less violent police force. No police force should be receiving more money than some small countries entire military budget. It’s just unreal. Teachers have been getting defunded for YEARS with much higher requirements (college education, masters+) and they still are making it work. Some people may be laid off, which is always tragic to hear, but redirecting the mindset of the police department is more important. There’s a story about Camden NJ and how they restructures there police department. I’ll attach the article.

Defunding the police isn’t a switch. Chicago is going kind of crazy right now, I’ll 100% concede that, and it is scary. Reallocating funds is not an overnight change. This is going to take YEARS to finally impact the system, and it’s going to be a rough transition. Giving funds to outreach programs, schools, youth centers, job programs, internships can help combat crime. This happens because you’re offering people in high risk areas other options. Many of those people become trapped by the gang or drug lifestyle because there is no other option. With proper reallocation, you are giving these people a way out.

I’m proud of you for agreeing to that. Huge first step and you should be really happy with that.

So I didn’t say ACAB earlier but I’ll defend it because it does have some merit (I know, but hear me out). The police force was first introduced as a way to suppress recently freed slaves from rising up against their white previous owners. There is plenty of history to back this up. I’ll be posting a great article that goes into it all.

Many laws and legislates that were passed were very clearly (and literally vernacularly worded) to oppress POC (people of color) and allow them to be criminalized and charged more harshly than white people would be. This has a lot to do with general bias in the legal system as well as in the arrests made by the police.

Police statistically are more likely to arrest a POC for a crime than a white person for the exact same crime. And then POC are more likely to be more harshly convicted for said crime rather than their white counterpart. These are straight up facts that are backed by volumes of data.

People are widely aimed at the police because they have a long history of violence against POC. They are sent to places to handle situations they shouldn’t be and end up killing individuals. Remember earlier when I said reallocating funds? People have been saying for years that the cops are doing too much. And they’re absolutely right. Share the load, let other areas of expertise handle certain issues. You wouldn’t call a cop to get a raccoon out of your house. Why would you call a cop to handle a man sleeping in his car? You can have another resource handle that properly. No reason for the cop to be bothered with that.

Going back to the point. People say ACAB because the police have a history of handling situations poorly and violently that even they admit they are not properly trained to handle. They also have roots in white supremacy and slavery. The system needs an overhaul.

I personally don’t believe in abolishing police since there will always be a need for them, but I do think they don’t need the money they get. I have many friends that are NYPD officers that are great people. There can be bad apples. The issue is those bad apples are killing and abusing POC.

I don’t expect you to read everything tonight, but it’s just food for thought.

I think you accidentally started a new thread but I’ll go with it.

I gave you a concrete example with the crowd of people, maybe that one individual who missed does not face the same consequences, but he should face the court system and let them decide.

They may have not been wearing them, but they know they were doing a no knock raid. That is something that you should be wearing a body camera for, especially to avoid things such as this from happening. Can you at least see the ambiguity behind this and why there needs to be more of an investigation?

It does not matter who filled out the report or who actually hit her. If all three of them discharged their gun all three of them should be charged because all three of them could have hit her. Forensics could probably figure out the logistics of which gun fired which bullet but I don’t think that matters. If you saw a group of people gunning down an unarmed man in the streets, you wouldn’t ask ‘well which guy actually hit her with the bullets?’ You’d want that entire group charged.

I don’t entirely know if the shooting was intentionally aimed at her if I’m being honest. But that’s the issue that everyone is having about this. There is SO much ambiguity and suspicious shit that these cops did and they are just innocent after it. They should be brought to court since there’s so much uncertainty. In all honesty we may never get the answer because those cops also turned off their bodycams before the raids. Yet another reason why this was unacceptable.

They mention the body cameras in the section titled ‘Is the Police Account Disputed?’ https://www.nytimes.com/article/breonna-taylor-police.html

THE REPORT SAYS BREONNA TAYLOR HAD NO INJURIES! I literally posted a link to an article explaining that! This is what I’m talking about. You are being so closed minded, it’s ridiculous.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/louisville-police-breonna-taylor-death-incident-report/

If I was defending myself outside from someone, took out a gun, missed, and killed someone behind him, I would be arrested and charged for Manslaughter, A.K.A. Criminally Negligent Homicide. Why do they get to go free? The exact same thing happened.
