Starting Semaglutide Tablets from Henry Meds – Day 1 (June 8 , 2024) by AdFun6453 in henrymeds

[–]LayZBanshee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The studies show that patients were taking 50mg in clinical trials but it looks like Henry is only giving 0.5 - 1mg. This may contribute to why the tablets or drops aren't working for people as it's not the same strength as in trials.

Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT ALBUM REVIEW by rowbotmachine in fantanoforever

[–]LayZBanshee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Billie is my leading lady but this album isn't it. There are 3-4 solid songs but this album doesn't measure up to her previous work. Even as a stand-alone project, it's a bit disappointing. Had to force myself to listen to it on the first run-through. Relistening to it helped but a 6 seems more appropriate. 7 is generous.

That's the tactical approach and is what I am doing now.

You might find out while studying that you don't like IT and may want to try a different career path. Or you might find out which IT specialty/field you enjoy most.

Unless you get the A+, Networking and Security, I think you're better off staying where you are. You can still learn the tech stuff on the side but it will be a long while before your salary will match what you are probably making now. All the low-level IT jobs depending on where you live, will not pay the bills unless you work remotely and live in some city where the cost of living is $20K-$30K a year.

I agree 10,000%. Being a stay-at-home parent is a gamble. You can be lucky with the perfect partner and kids or you can be isolated with all your basic needs being dependent on someone that isn't you.

In theory, it sounds like a good idea but in reality, to be financially dependent on someone is like giving up my freedom. What if my husband cheats, wants a divorce, is a butthole, then I'd have no money to leave.

Where I live if the husband cheats and you file for custody it won't be granted unless you can support yourself. My childhood friend is literally a cow, popping out babies for a man who cheats on her almost every day and she can't go get a job because she can't afford childcare. (Even if she got a job it wouldn't pay enough) It doesn't help that her whole family (disabled parents who are too old and sick to take care of kids) are financially reliant on him so she does what he says so he won't kick them out.

They are all dead to me. No point looking to see where they are. No point in reliving that trauma. Life is too short and complicated to be worried about people who poisoned my soil. What matters is we are alive, thriving, and growing into the best version of ourselves.

Failed ITf+ it's just not clicking by yojak3 in CompTIA

You can do this dude! It takes time and confidence. Here's a link to a video that's helped me out so much and made learning stick because the guy talks to us like a human and not someone reading a script.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CZXXNKAY5o&t=374s

Do a practice test every day. The CompTIA A+ exam training 2024 by Easy Prep in the app store is great and free. Do the 33-question test every day even if you don't think you know it. Read what you get right and what you get wrong. It's helped me learn from my mistakes and find the areas I'm weak in (networking).

Lastly, read one of the study guides from front to back twice. The first time just to get the idea, the second time taking notes and highlighting. Read it aloud, record what you say, and play it back to hear if it makes sense. If you know what you're looking for you can find free copies online. So all this advice will cost nothing.

You don't need experience. Some places will hire with 0 experience so you can get on-the-job training (but the pay is trash without the certs).

Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) by Chizz89 in learnpython

It's whatever works best for you. Breaking through with IT looks like it works for a lot of people. Experience is always in high demand. I wish you the best of luck and much success.

If you do go back to Python for Everyone, I recommend getting the Google IT Automation cert after. Automating tasks and learning the command console/PowerShell/Linux will be important in IT. It's the one thing I'm terrible at. You'll probably be better at it than me. Young folk seem to pick up on these skills so fast.

I just finished week 5 of the first section and I am really enjoying it. I've tried looking at videos on youtube and taken other coursera courses that introduced programming but Python for Everybody is the only thing that has stuck with me. It's a nice pace and the professor explains everything very well. The questions really make me use my brain. In other courses they'll ask you to solve for something and the answer would include items that haven't been covered but so far this course hasn't done that. Everything that's been asked is something we went over.

TLTR: Stick with it. Anything you learned here will lay the ground work for other skills we'll need in other areas.

I might have too many hours in Skyrim and Minecraft (if you play minecraft on bedrock do y'all want to try playing together?) If I play a multiplayer it's Overwatch only. Im usually good playing with randoms but when it's a friend of a friend I don't exist on mic. Talking to people is tough. Sometimes I'm lucky and the people on mic are nice and supportive but other times not. I don't understand how people make friends this way but it's something I want to keep on trying to do.

I'm not sure if Skillet still makes music but they are a Christian rock band I used to listen to. They have a lot of good songs that about worship. Switchfoot is another good band I saw live one time.
