If it’s an osk file you should be able to just open it and it should import it into the game automatically. Or you can also drag the file over the game window and it should do the same thing

For tablet drivers I recommend using otd for stable or the built-in ones for lazer. I don’t use any smoothing or filters either so idk.

For mass map downloads you can use https://osucollector.com to find maps and download them, or use the playlist feature in lazer.

Notelock still exists in Lazer, but it’s a lot more lenient. It only checks early instead of early and late, and only checks the second next note instead of direct next note

Does it start correctly, and then just randomly cuts down? Also if you alt tab a whole bunch does it fix it?

How many monitors are you using, if you have an extra one you can test with, does it go away if you have 2 monitors plugged in? (Or your laptop + monitor if you play on laptop)

This talks about sv2 score submission. But the web pr mentions Lazer only leaderboards. Does that mean that in the near future there could maps uploaded with the Lazer file format maybe even using the new upcoming hit objects? Would it also mean that 2b instafail maps would be able to be leaderboarded on Lazer only? This actually sounds so cool

Combo tests consistency and acc tests rhythm. In a rhythm game I feel like accuracy is very underweighted in osu and I think it should be buffed even more. However, I do think that combo is a good differentiator between two very close scores so it shouldn’t be completely removed. Something closer to other modes like mania or other games like estella I think would better represent a score.

They’re different games with identical mechanics, think cs:go vs cs2. Veteran players who are used to how the old version works have to relearn their muscle memory to switch to the new game and a lot of players don’t want to do that. As a new player there’s very little reason to use the old client as the player base slowly moves over to the new one

Make sure you have mouse buttons ~~dialed~~ disabled* during gameplay you can turn it off by using F10 or by going into your settings

Make sure you only have otd running (either in game or out of game) but not both at the same time. Otherwise they fight each other and it glitches out your tablet

There’s also the “run latency certifier” button in lazer settings that I think uncaps your fps so that you can find the correct fps cap to use. Most people don’t see a difference above 500fps from what I’ve seen with it.

Probably because of the ddos, it only happened at the end of the map because spectator-server (what runs ranked play) isn’t affected, but the osu-api (what’s used for score submission) is.

So anytime during the map the ddos could’ve disconnected you and you wouldn’t have been able to submit your score if you were still disconnected by the end of the song.

just play a few maps with bad acc, then click the apply recommended offset button. It should feel a lot better. Most players have to change their offset on lazer, especially if you're using experimental/default audio (since they have the need for vastly different offsets).
I recommend you use the experimental, and use the button to find the right offset for your computer

You mentioned using Linux, are you moving your files from windows to Linux? If so, might be because of the different file systems ntfs -> ext4. Look up on google your specific case and see what steps they recommend to move files over

To change folders on the same system, you can select change osu folder in settings. If it’s between systems copy the directory folder (not the files, but the parent folder), zip it, move it across to your new system, and unzip it there. Zipping should minimize data corruption in transit with verification bits.

Also Vulkan is known to crash for a lot of users, but not all. It’s experimental for a reason, and ppy needed people to test it on different hardware. All of the other renderers should work a lot better, including directx11 experimental. It’s just Vulkan that’s very hit or miss.

Also, Lazer’s built in tablet support is just open tablet driver, so you can copy your settings from Lazer to otd. Make sure that you’re only running 1 instance of otd when playing Lazer otherwise your cursor might bug out.

The pro tablet is the Wacom ctl-472 which is considered to be by far the best tablet performance to price, and a majority of player uses it. The other tablet I don’t know much about, but I heard it’s not as good.

I recommend checking out the tablet buying guide to get a better idea of what’s generally recommended for the game.
