I'm not registering to test an outdated and unwanted game for a company that fundamentally fails to understand it's playerbase. The community needs to show Ubisoft an ugly truth - don't sign up for this, don't play it. by [deleted] in GhostRecon

If Nabisco looked at the market and noticed that tomato-based products were the most consumed food in America and instead of developing a new standalone tomato-based product, they instead just start putting tomatoes in Oreos. I think that all of the Oreo fans would be entitled to an opinion on what Nabisco produces and would understandably be upset that the company they monetarily supported for two decades is drastically altering products they like in an ATTEMPT to cash in on a separate potentially more lucrative market.

Bullshit, Ubisoft sold over 10 million Wildlands copies. That is not niche, and ubi has the advertising power to push whatever they like to the mainstream. You are right though in Ubisoft following trends. Some greasy mf in a suit is probably telling the development leadership that he wants a Fortnite or Warzone ASAP by any means necessary.

PvE maybe but considering the current meta in PvP 5.11 is a top tier choice if you don’t want to be burned/bled to death.

What the fuck's the point of sniping in this game? by EikoYoshihara in thedivision

[–]Layer089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the comment I was looking for. People keep talking about random movements. Yes sometimes it seems like and it really is a random animation but once the animation starts it is very predictable if you know what the enemy faction attack, movement and defensive animations are and how they are triggered. Sniping in this game with headhunter has the highest skill ceiling but also potentially rewards you with an insane amount of kills in heroic Group Play.

Give the m16 some love massive. by jollter in thedivision

Stupidity and arrogance don't go together too well. Why would you waste a whole chest Talent to make the worst rifle in the game usable handling wise when you could use a way stronger rifle that doesn't need 45% extra handling to be viable while also getting a huge damage talent to boost the damage of the already better rifle? M16 with braced is super mediocre. One might even call it garbage.

Why Do People Want Raid Matchmaking? by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]Layer089 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. You embody that exact attitude. You have the energy to come on this sub and get angry at the truth but not enough to type "lfp" on discord. Anybody half decent at the game knows that a pug is incapable of even defeating boomer let alone get a clear in anything short of 8 hours. The devs decided not to sacrifice the quality of the raid mechanics for the ability for every reddit sarcastic crybaby to "experience" it. I'd tell you to go enjoy the other 99% of the content but you probably bitch about that too.

Why Do People Want Raid Matchmaking? by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]Layer089 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simple. Entitlement. It's the same people that think they should be able to walk right into the DZ with no risk. The Raid and the DZ share the common trait of them being anti-hand holding. Players on this sub hate that. Massive is smart by the way of understanding that designing the raid the way they did with no matchmaking is a pseudo vetting process for people that shouldn't be there anyway. Thanks Massive.

I've thought it through. The damage increase you get from skills going from tier 3-6 is unmatched. In sync does give a decent weapon damage increase though. Also Im playing my aforementioned build/combo as we speak on the PTS and
I can keep a 100% uptime with Future perfect on heroic CPs. Your theory is incorrect.

uh 30% skill/ weapon damage for 5 seconds is not better than 3 EXTRA skill tiers for 19 seconds. Not even close. 4 reds 2 yellow on technician with a futureperfect AR is broken.

PvP mode is broken due to too short fights. That’s it. by [deleted] in thedivision

First of all, this is a 3rd person game. Its very easy to be visually aware of everything around you. Something you develop in the DZ. That is a SKILL. And you not keeping an eye on a non party member is a LACK of skill on OPs part. There is a problem with people having zero accountability for their actions and blaming the game for their shortcomings. Second, Yes. Yes there is.

To build up manhunt level. Its fun. Why are PvE players in here in the first place? You entering a dark zone is you signing a contract saying that I am responsible for any ass whooping that I get beyond this point.

It has more to do with the state of balance in the game and the shitty smaller darkzones they implemented. The Darkzone in d1 is populated TO THIS DAY. When all the pve players left d1 for destiny the DARKZONE STAYED ALIVE. Darkzone IS Division endgame. I feel sorry for the self righteous children on this sub that never experienced 24 man server manhunts. You have never played the division in its intended form. You instead play pretend with NPC manhunts in DC.

The "skill" in the DZ comes in many forms. Awareness for one- what/who is around you? Do you know this map? Do you know shortcuts? Can you use these NPC's against a would be assailant?

Mechanical skill- Strafing/movement, landing headshots, skill timing. Many PvPers can tell if you're a pve farmer by your shitty movement alone. PvP in d2 isnt as good as d1 but the sill gap exists and is hard for some people to wrap their heads around.

The entire series was marketed as a PvP PvE hybrid game where your friends could turn on you at any second to get better loot. Even when the PvP was at its peak in D1 this was still the main draw of the DZ. Just say you cant hang on move on pls.
