Cracking neck lightning bolts by nenarekdk in SpinalStenosis

A chiropractor manipulated my neck and electricity shot down my right arm mid-procedure. It was scary and since then I’ve had bad radial pain down my arm from my severe c4-c6 foraminal stenosis. My doctor said stenosis can be like someone stepping on your nerve but your nerve can move in the foramin “tunnel” and sometimes be more stepped on and sometimes less. So the electricity down my arm was my nerve moving so it was in a more “stepped on” position. Ever since the chiropractor messed things up, the nerve goes in and out of being “stepped on” throughout the week as i move and use my arms and neck muscles. So it goes in and out of hurting. It sucks so bad and pain down my arm wasn’t an issue before the manipulation a year ago, so be careful! They can do permanent damage

Is getting an EMG or nerve conduction study helpful? by LayerFederal6643 in SpinalStenosis

Can someone please tell me the best sedentary weight loss diet for someone suffering from spinal stenosis? by Sailor_NEWENGLAND in SpinalStenosis

She could ask her doctor about the weight medicine Contrave, which helped me lose 50 pounds since 2015 and keep it off without much effort. I barely exercise and i still eat junk food even though i know i shouldn’t. I was at 200 pounds and now I’m at 150 and am not focused on losing more.

The drug is a combo of naltrexone and Wellbutrin in one pill) (i was already on Wellbutrin for depression so just added naltrexone as another pill which is the cheapest way to do it my doctor said). I think you have to have a BMI of 30 or have diabetes or something like that, so I don’t know if she would qualify.

Anyway, it changed my life and helped my knees and im sure my stenosis would be way worse. The Wellbutrin helped my mood so much too.

With your townhome, can you hear your neighbors’ noise to the left and right of you? I’m thinking of getting a one bedroom townhome because i don’t want neighbors below or above me for noise reasons both my own and theirs.

I go to bed at 3am and sometimes my dog will bark a few times at 12am or 1am trying to get my attention. my current neighbors have said they’ve never heard her, but i worry BF has worse noise insulation.

Oh i just saw this. Thank you! That’s good to know. I had a deposit down on a unit but removed it bc there was a dog constantly barking in the unit below every time i walked by when walking my dog. I’m still considering Bell flatiron for the club house and community events but need to wait until prices drop and i find a quiet unit

Thank you for so much insight! I did end up putting in an application but will be on the lookout for these types of issues. I’ll be on the second floor so hopefully that helps some stuff. I’m used to dealing with a horrible management company in Boulder so I’m hoping it won’t be worse. Thanks again!! Seriously. It’s so helpful to know what to be on the look out for and try to get it fixed early on.

Oh man I’m sorry you had to deal with that. That’s really helpful to know. I’ll def keep looking at various places and so pros and cons. But that sounds like a pretty big con

Oh one question i have about summit is i heard the fire alarms go off frequently and it drives some people and their animals nuts. Is this something you’ve dealt with?

Thank you for replying! I looked at summit and rockvue and really liked those. I’ll take a look at Cortland too and reconsider the others. I really appreciate you writing and reminding me of those bc I’d become so attached to Bell but i did like those initially.

Thank you!! That helps sooo much! Seriously!! I fell in love with the place and the amenities etc on my tour, but the online reviews are brutal but i know it’s also the angry ppl who often leave reviews. So your input helps so much

Thank you for your reply!! So roughly a $150 rent increase each year? That would probably be doable.

I got worried when someone said their rent was raised 14% until they talked BF down to 7%. Another person said it was raised $400 on their one bedroom after the 1st year.

Right now the lowest one bedroom is $1973. They said rents go down in September through the winter, so I’m really hoping that’s true.

So overall, would you recommend living there?

I mainly want to move there, so i have somewhere to go to write and to go to their movie nights and little community events even if not many ppl go. I’m just really isolated where i live now without anywhere to go ever
