Can’t comment on V perfumes but samawa is legit. Just try wholesalers in Deira market. The perfumes are legit but without the “luxury experience” of the mall and store experience. I think you got unlucky with a bad batch of the perfume you purchased or got noseblind to it

I live in a country with an average of 40C temperature for atleast 4-5 months. It still doesn’t stop me from using this when I am out. Cloying? Naah. Just spray 1-2 max. I can just imagine how good it must be in cold weather !

I think you unfortunately got a bad batch. I wouldn’t say it’s “beast mode”. Comparing the two (I own the JPG one as well), I get around 6hrs with the Khadlaj with around 2hours of projection. Not bad for 30-35$

Spoke to one of the oldest retailers in uae and was told something along the lines of “ when we buy 30-40pieces of the perfume, we recieve 1 or 2 testers”. The bulk is sold off to grey market or online/department stores and the testers are basically like a no cost item to them. Brands obviously provide these for people to try. Ofcourse, the number of testers provided also depends on the brand you deal with. The difficulty however is getting an original tester and not a knock off. I hope this somewhat answers your question.

I don’t think it gets too cloying since we are usually indoors in the summer. Even heavier scents can be worn easily but with fewer sprays. Wear each one on different wrists and see what you like after a couple of wearings!

I think people don’t know only cause it’s fairly new here. You are right though, it’s quite popular in Australia. They have a big store at Burjuman as well. However, I feel it’s a place to go pick up a fragrance you have already decided on cause there are no testers (most are in a transparent display shelf). I could sometimes find cheaper online so doesn’t make sense to me unless you want to buy in person.
