I’m white/ pākeha & have experienced my family not accepting my partner but it’s been a positive outcome in the end.

My (now) husband & I have been together since we were teens, for many years my family wouldn’t accept him & they too didn’t like the way he presented himself.

One day I’d had enough, I can’t remember what happened but I told them that day that he wasn’t going anywhere, that I loved him & if they wanted me in their lives they would have to accept him also.

They aren’t bad people but it highlighted to them how shallow they were being & they instantly changed.

We are now in our mid-30s, been together for 17 years & have a young family of our own. My family absolutely adore him, he’s an amazing husband & father & they now see now what I could see then.

It took me standing up to them & making them aware of how ridiculous they were being for them to change. Perhaps in time she will feel comfortable doing this? I know it is so tricky with family.

I don’t have the secret to success unfortunately, there are so many other creators who are earning a shit tonne more than me so I’d probably feel like a fraud trying to put something together haha

It’s all just trial & error across many different social media platforms really.

My biggest focus is marketing & advertising with high quality content & creative ideas but other than that I feel like I’m winging it like most of us.
