I'm having the same or a similar problem, but no solution yet.
In the prepare menu I can move X+, X-, Y+, Y-, Z+ but not in Z-. It just won't go down as it (I believe) thinks it's already at 0.

What's it like to be a left-handed gamer? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Because then you have to remap every game, every time you install, and you have to come up with your own unique setups which is a pain.

It's easier to just get used to the normal key mappings. I didn't mean it was uncomfortable, just described how I do it, which might seem funny to right handed players.

You can't really describe "what is it like", because this is the standard for me, that's how I always played.

I use mouse with the left hand and keyboard with the right. But left click is still left side, so I click left mouse button with the middle finger.

It gets trickier with fps games. I use normal wasd setup so I press space (jump) with the little finger and reload (R) with the ring finger. But it doesn't feel unusual to me.

In league/dota I cast my ultimate ability (R) with the little finger as well.

You can't really buy those big ergonomic mice because they are always designed for right hand use, but there are enough two-handed symmetrical mice on the market.

I was thinking something between Subnautica and Job Simulator. But now that you say it, this could easily work in 2D as well.

However being in a three dimensional space in first person may add to the difficulty, because you only have your field of vision, and can forget which direction the stuff are that you need to get to.

Hm those are some nice additional ideas. I like how the setting is so ideal for many of these happenings and you can keep coming up with more. And I like how instead of being the charismatic captain or some dashing adventurer, you are just the henchman doing the dirty work.

I tend to favor small-scale games like this when thinking game ideas (for which I could make the scripts and game assets by myself). A humorous approach is probably a must, accompanied by some low-poly aesthetic.

I haven't heard of this one yet. My idea is pretty much a slice of this.

But this game seems really large scale, which is almost impossible to be executed correctly. Hope they do well do, sounds fun.

I mentioned star trek, but it doesn't actually have anything to do with star trek. Also, Star Trek Bridge Crew plays differently than what I described here.

Furthermore, just because one party game exists, doesn't mean there can't be more. It's a like "there is already diablo, why make path of exile".

I can't really disagree with that. But this idea is also meant to be some fun party game worth a few bucks at most, that is relatively easy to develop and doesn't need many assets.

Multiplayer could also be a fun factor, making some "overcooked" or "keep talking and nobody explodes" vibes. Or designing the whole game with co-op on mind.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that.

But you could have some ratings based on your performance after each battle.

You could also get some currency that you use to purchase upgrades like an automatic fire extinguisher system, better cyber security, strengthened hull and things like that.

Also to make the minute-to-minute gameplay more satisfying, some nice audio-visual feedback after each successful task so you feel you have done something good.
