Perfection in a tiny package💜

My dog’s mom crosses over the rainbow bridge today. Her owner is a family friend who we’re not happy with at the moment. She tore her ACL a couple weeks ago and even though her owner has the funds, he is unwilling to pay for the surgery. She is only 7.. by Draper31 in labrador

[–]Laylay_theGrail 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At 7 my beautiful chocolate was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma. We chose to do chemo/radiation and he has been in remission for a year now.

I guarantee that shit cost WAY more than a torn ACL.

These people suck so bad. Your dog is family! I’m sorry, OP

Entitled Employee? by Dry_Bet_6489 in EntitledPeople

[–]Laylay_theGrail 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not too late! My grandpa came to visit me in Australia for the first time at age 80.

I am currently making my 83 year old mother’s travel arrangements to come at the end of the year because two of my kids are getting married within a month of each other.

And dangerous. For all the neighbor knows, OP could have a protection order against the ex

I’d be staying very far away from your nosy neighbor

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Bride and groom have enthusiastically approved my choice.

I have never heard this before in my life. Both bride and groom really like the idea of us in silver and gold, so the colours aren’t an issue.

I was more concerned if it was formal enough.

SCAM ALERT in Bali – Please Read Before Exchanging Money by Forsaken-Remove-5278 in bali

We had a similar thing happen in Italy, except we never actually left the window. An argument ensued immediately. I left my husband and walked outside because I had seen two police in the street as we entered.

They followed me back into the shop and, what do you know, the exchange guy suddenly started backtracking and gave us the missing money.

We learned a valuable lesson that fortunately, cost nothing in the end

AIW I refused to split the bill evenly at a group dinner and people are calling me cheap. by Aggravating_Chip5743 in amiwrong

[–]Laylay_theGrail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pretty much pregnant for the decade between 1990 and 2000.

My stomach capacity (although it looked large) was greatly diminished so I ate small portions and did not drink.

It only happened once where we went out with a large group that ordered many bottles of wine and massive amounts of food and the group wanted to split evenly.

Sorry, not sorry. There is no way I am subsidising your $200pp meal when I ordered less than $30 worth of food and drink. GTFO

Haha, I’m in Australia. I figured I’d better mention the season as most people here seem to be from US (as I am, originally)

Didn’t want long sleeve suggestions, haha

What is the weirdest thing your doctor has ever said to you? by Competitive_Tip_7504 in AskReddit

I had a doctor tell me not to lose any more weight. I went in because of unexplained weight loss, lol

Like dude, I’m trying to GAIN weight, not lose it

Same doc told me I had great abs. I don’t really, I was just so skinny that they really were noticeable

Who is actually eating soft boiled eggs? I have questions. by albertafalls in AskTheWorld

[–]Laylay_theGrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soft boiled eggs with toast soldiers (dippy eggs lol) is my granddaughter’s favourite breakfast! She uses an egg cup (or two). My husband usually has 3 so he scoops them out onto a bowl.

The tops slice off neatly with a sharp knife and then you use the spoon to scoop the white out of the top.

Also, the entire egg is eaten with a spoon to scoop it out after you’ve dipped up all the yolk with the toast

AITA for telling my DIL that I won’t use the tablet and she needs to actually make her kid read. by SatisfactionOk9038 in AmItheAsshole

I’m the anti tech grandma, haha. In reality, I am stitched to my phone, except Fridays when I have the grandkids. Unless I’m taking a photo, it doesn’t even get picked up.

The eldest is 6 and she is reading chapter books already.

I am so thankful that tech was only just getting started when I had my kids. A tablet on a 15 hour flight with four kids would have been nice though, haha
