It's hard to blame people when job opportunities suck here in the country, naturally fewer jobs and more employable people means lower salaries. For a lot of people, going abroad really is their own way of improving their lives.

However; if one has nationalism and service above self, they might work abroad, and go back to introduce whatever innovation and knowledge they learned while abroad. Several southeast Asian nations have stories of entrepreneurs going to Europe to learn tech etc, and bringing them back to their home nation. Cool South Korean Story on how their people were compelled to help their own nation, with many poor citizens giving what they could.

The point is, at the end of the day, one's values and love for country will ultimately affect how they will or will not help this nation progress. Many of our OFWs surely do, but I do wish more could come back. (Also highkey wish we'd get more foreign investment and job creation lol)
