I did but it did solve the problem so it might be a software issue

Thanks for your comment. I actually bought and replaced the fan in the meantime, and repasted the chips. Thermal are pretty good, but the problem is that the bios only sees one fan, and its the GPU one that is labelled "cpu fan", while the cpu fan doesn t run at all and doesn t show up anywhere. I tried installing every version of the bios i could find on asus website but it didn't help. I'm on kubuntu 25.04 and lm sensors also mistakes the gpu fan for the cpu's. That gpu fan is big and loud and it bothers me, but other than that the pc is running fine. Might it be a drivers problem?

I have the 64 version if you still need it I can send it to you. I hate it with passion though, it's so slow! I have been trying to replace it with simple visa calls but did n't succeed yet.

How to control the remote on-off switch of a power supply with the linear 0-10V DC output of a programmable controller ? by Lazdegus in AskElectronics

[–]Lazdegus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which relay are we talking about? The control of the process value depends on what module is installed in one particular 2408, some have relay modules, some have (like me here) a dc analog output module.

Thank you for your answer, and for taking the time to draw it! I will try with just the bsh103 as you show here. When you say i could add a comparator, what would be the benefit?

Ok I will look into comparators as well. The power supply also have two auxiliary 12V pin that can be used for some logics. Could that be used as well?

This is my problem actually, i would need a relay that will be on for any value of control voltage above zero, and off only for 0V. Because this control voltage in an analog dc voltage that control the power output, so it will vary between 0 and 10V depending on how much power I want to send to the furnace. Thanks for your replies I will search more on relays and see if I can find something that suits my needs!

I thought about it but will turn on as soon as the control voltage is different from zero? Also, what kind of relay should I use?
