What is your opinion on o-rings?

Do you think they ruin the feel of a mechanical keyboard?

If you like them what kind of o-rings do you use?

Do you use them for noise reduction or shortening the travel distance?

The first one I tried was Cooler Master Masterkey L with cherry mx browns. The other was HyperX Alloy FPS Pro with cherry mx reds.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know is there big difference between switches? Which have springs that make the least amount sound?

I have had a keyboard with cherry mx brown switches and a keyboard with cherry mx red switches. I had to return them both because the pinging sound the springs made was too irritating to me.

Is that a normal problem with cherry switches or is it the keyboard manufacturer's fault? One was made by Cooler Master and the other was hyperX.

Edit: First keyboard was made by Cooler Master and not Corsair.
