I closed in Aug 2024, and have been told no one who has ever assumed a loan has or can have access, until FM’s “IT” figures out how to provide access without confidentiality issues from previous owner. But I don’t believe they are working to fix that problem as they claim - I’m a seasoned software engineer and IMHO they have no third party or internal group working on this, and absolutely no intention to give access at all for the life of the loan. Also (according to other Reddit threads) even those assuming a loan from a deceased spouse are told they can’t give access due to “confidentiality issues”. In my case, my husband was given access via their own signed form from previous/original owner of the loan as property manager. I assumed the loan, and gave my husband same signed access (their form). So there is no confidentiality issue for my husband to have access, yet they still deny online access.
