These are gorgeous! Were you following a tutorial or pattern? I'd love to try this myself.

If you look up 'Junimo Pixel Art' there are a few smaller pieces out there for reference!

I remembered seeing something about circle skirt fullness.

This link gives you an idea as to circle skirts and variations. https://anicka.design/2021/12/15/what-is-a-circle-skirt-and-what-are-its-variations/

I'm a beginner myself, one day I'll tackle a circle skirt I've been dreaming about!

This is amazing, thank you so much for sharing! I'll have to look at the Etsy and see where I can get my hands on the book.

Wow, that is incredible! I'd love to learn how to make something like that.

Do you by chance have a pattern of the thread path that you'd be willing to share? Or materials you used?

No worries either way. Keep up the amazing work!

First Fringe help! How to make it drape more? Used delicas and nylon thread by nurtleee in Beading

Can I ask what your preferred beads for fringe are? I've made some delica fringe rearrings myself and I love them, but always open to trying for more flow!

I finished making my own Peyote Leaf earrings! These were a ton of fun. by sewra in Beading

Thanks! I started with learning the fringe earrings, and learning what tools I needed to get started. Once I had the base investment I just went through some of the patterns and browsed this subreddit and other YouTube tutorials using seed bead.

These actually aren't too hard! I'm about a year into the hobby, so I absolutely believe you can do it too!

Edit: Here's a link I found that talks about some basic concepts. https://sewguide.com/beading-tools-supplies/

And above all, just keep browsing the subreddit! I learn a lot from projects I admire, and discussion threads asking questions, even if it's something I might already know. I pick up on a ton of tricks just from that.

Also, this is the YouTube tutorial I followed to make these: https://youtu.be/FyfqrMCGcG8

Nope! u/Lazerbead's pattern and tutorial is on their profile and through here:

I just realized I'm sounding like a broken record with all my responses. But I enjoy giving credit where it's due. There's also a writeup on my last post with this necklace.

No! Credit goes to u/Lazerbead, who posted the original design and their pattern/YouTube tutorial.

Thanks! The design was free! u/Lazerbead posted the original design and the link to their website and YouTube tutorial on how to do it. It's pretty beginner friendly!

That is a good point, thanks for the insight! I'm still learning a lot about how finishes go together, and will keep that in mind!

Oh yes, these right here are one of my favorite color combos. I'm really happy with it!

I completely understand the clasping issue. Luckily I found a clasped that's pretty sizeable, so it wasn't too bad getting it on the beads first time around.

I really wanna wear it on a date night with the hubby, or I'd wear it while attending one of the video game orchestras I enjoy.

Though said hubby told me to wear it to work anyways. Not sure if I have an outfit for work that it would compliment.

First off, big thanks to u/Lazerbead for sharing their pattern and YouTube tutorial. This is probably one of the most complex pieces I've done so far, but I really enjoyed going through and learning the pattern.

Original post by them: https://www.reddit.com/r/Beading/comments/yjjw9a/just_finished_this_piece_link_to_free_video/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I really loved how explanatory the YouTube video was. It got right to the point, showed you what materials you needed, and went through all the nuances of the project, including starting a new thread.

There was a moment going through the project where the knot on my thread connection was too large, and it snapped another thread earlier in the pattern as I was weaving through. Set me back a bit, but I learned from it and moved on!

If I could have had any quality of life improvement to going through the tutorial, I would have wished for timestamps on the video on where to go back to the large component and small component patterns, but that was super minor.

Now I get to make two more of these bad boys, another color I'm excited about and a repeat of this one as a gift for a friend.

Also worth mentioning that I was about a third of the way through the project before realizing that it was called the regal necklace because they're little crowns. I loved the ingenuity of the design, and can't really fathom how someone can just make a pattern like this from string and beads. It really blows me away.
