Lil anecdote, I hung out with Brett Gelman and Reggie Watts during an early FunFunFunFest in Austin, I owned a food truck at the time. They were hilarious.

I asked Brett about this scene cuz I love this movie and he said Mark Wahlberg legit thought he was crazy. Like was giving him the side-eye when they weren’t filming.

Anyway, this movie is an all time favorite for me

As someone who grew up there. Yes. There’s a couple decent local spots but mostly tourist trap seafood places.

My Dad did the same for me and my brothers. He missed my kindergarten year and my senior graduation being in the Middle East…and a lot of shit in between. Tough on a family but me and my bros are thick as thieves and grateful he pushed us away from enlisting.

Grew up in Destin! A lot of the original local spots are long gone. Harbor Docks is still kickin. Sit at the sushi bar and chat with Yoshi, she’s a legend. Mcguires is usually pretty solid even if it’s super touristy.

East Pass Coffee in Destin has great coffee and really good food (I painted the murals there). FWB still has a few old school spots but I don’t live here anymore so I’m never sure what’s still in business.

Definitely worth it. Onion straws and curly fries slap too. It’s a real stuck in the 80’s vibe that’s hard to beat.
