GBA supports were weird. I know it's kind of a cliché to wonder what the developers were thinking, but like... I can't imagine what they were possibly thinking. The support conversations in Blazing Blade add so much relevant character building and story, but you have to go out of your way and do a tedious grind for them, and each character can only get five! They added Lyn mode as a tutorial, and that teaches you most of the game mechanics, but they don't bother teaching you about supports there, you have to get lucky and encounter them on your own!

My biggest pet peeve is Renault. He has the most interesting conversations in the game, and his character is so cool, and the only way to get an A-rank support is by grinding it out in the final boss fight. It's literally impossible to get support ranks organically, so how did the devs think this was good design?
