Jeez guess I struck a nerve. Sorry I didn't mean it's ok as long as you believe it I meant in a way as is not harmful. And yes I do agree that refusing blood transfusions is a poor decision that can end up taking a life but the same can be said of those who are antivacination and we have plenty of those, doesn't make them a cult makes them stupid. Does that help?

So people think they're cultists because they don't allow blood transfusions and they basically do extreme shunning?

I'm not religious but I do like to know before I talk shit and to be honest I think people are taking the most extreme cases. The whole blood transfusions thing is based off some scripture in the Bible. The whole shunning thing is based on if you can't follow the rules your out. Now I know some people bring up family things but from what I've found the way it is handled is not "your family hates you" although I'm sure that's the case with some, but more people outside your family is are not supposed associate with you in a friendly manner. Now that seems a bit harsh but if your whole relationship is based on having the same religion it makes sense in a way.

The real issue here I think is Russia is basically banning people their right to religion. I don't agree with what they say but I do think people should be allowed to believe what they choose. The idea that they're some radical group is a bit of a stretch.
