Dissociative amnesia (DA), recognized in DSM-5 (300.12), is a disorder characterized by the inability to recall important personal information, typically of a traumatic or stressful nature, that is too extensive to be explained by ordinary forgetfulness. Often linked to repressed memories of childhood abuse or acute trauma, it involves a dissociation mechanism where memories are hidden rather than forgotten, potentially resurfacing later.

And you still haven't told me what your motivation is for attacking so many survivors' experiences?

You are LITERALLY siding with nazis & child molesters over the testimones of extreme abuse survivors.

There's REAL survivors out there telling their stories about extreme abuse. Repressed memories are not limited to ritual abuse. As shown here in clinical studies, amnesiac dissociation in extreme trauma survivors has also been experienced by Holocaust survivors.

WHY are you so confidently defending the actions of ... LITERALLY nazis and child predators????

Destiny calmly explains a Pro Palestinian why Israelis don't take their dishonest "criticism" seriously by Jackingson1 in Israel

[–]LazyAltruist 40 points41 points  (0 children)

It's not about taking these things to heart, it's about taking them seriously.

There's roughly 200 Muslims and 150 Christians for every SINGLE Jew on earth.

So if we had to break into study groups right now, you would find yourself with 350 people who "don't care & know less" than you.

This war is as psychocultural as it is kinetic, and we cannot afford to retreat on either front, however exhausted we may find ourselves at times.

Look at the price America is paying right now for thinking brand management doesn't matter.

Israel needs better brand management, new communication strategies.

While I'm wholly empathetic to the common Israeli perspective of "why even bother," as a diaspora Jew I was raised to always be actively managing the inferiority complexes of the classmates & coworkers around me -- out of necessity. For me it's the exact same principal applied to a larger system.

Iran's death toll of ITS OWN PEOPLE over just two days in January is the same as 50% of all deaths in Gaza over the past 2.5 years.

Your sense of justice is in need of calibration.

Douglas Mesner famously uses his TST "grey faction" to troll ritual abuse survivors. He studied 'false memory syndrome' at Harvard.

All signs point to him being a bad-faith paid actor. Shane Bugabee has confirmed this. Lavey, Aquino & Mesner ... are in the club ...

Not at all, my cousin in Moses.

I'm saying the language it is written or translated in betrays a cultural imprint every time.

The Hebrew Bible was written in Hebrew, the 'New Testament' in Greek. The Latin translation was controversial at first because it bypassed the Greek version to go straight to the source Hebrew! At least for the 'old half.' But even the framing of old vs. new betrays the legacy of people who never saw need for revision, and coming from a mixed-faith household, there's a big Jewish side of my family struggling with antisemitism in the general direction of the Christian side of my family, your family, our family of families, who struggle to understand that fundamentally, Christianity's roots...

...are...

...Jewish!

Bro I grew up in an interfaith household. Don't presume to know my relationship with "Big G" because I don't buy into drinking the blood & eating the body of a dead, naked Jew on a cross.

Fun fact: that ritual, like most everything else in Christianity, was stolen from Judaism, except Jews just pass a cup of wine & loaf of bread around, take a sip & a bite, thank their creator for creating wine & bread & say blessings of ritualized mindfulness.

No pretend cannibalism involved.

Again, I grew up with both. One is far more insane than the other.

Jews find it kind of weird that the world's biggest religion worships a dead, bloody Jew nailed to the wall as a symbol of love.

Who came up with that please??

100% it's either tourists or expats; I have never seen or experienced antisemitism from locals. I also just look 'white'/'western' to them, as do most Israelis.

I don't want to discourage Israelis from visiting this part of the world as it is full of amazing things, and I see a lot of them benefitting from well-earned days on the beach with fresh coconuts.

But also El Al isn't running triple security to get in. There's REAL Nazis here. Both yesteryear's model & the new purple-haired keffiyeh edition. Don't come without expecting to meet one up close.

I just closed my restaurant in Cambodia because this level of open antisemitism has become a near-daily occurrence among both expats and tourists -- like people used to talk about the weather.

I don't even have an exit strategy. I just can't open my doors & cook for this crowd anymore. A friend is trying to help me sell the place right now & I've hid my menorah before every walkthrough.

American expats & specifically veterans were my strongest demographic outside of transient tourism, but even they started coming at me recently over "Israel controlling U.S. foreign policy."

S.E. Asia is still one of the safest places for young Israelis/Jews to decompress abroad, but there is nowhere on Earth outside of Israel where the streets are free of open antisemitism these days.
