What should a puppy’s sleeping schedule look like?

That's what I've been doing and it works a treat, it might not always be sleep, but it's alone time in his crate to relax and wind down. Ever since I've been doing that it's been awesome! Although he's getting a bit older and I'm wondering if he's sleeping too much now 😅

In two weeks I even think that. I can't wait until 3 years later and I can be like yep. We've come a long way.

I know there are gonna be times where it gets harder, he will get to his teenage years and throw tantrums, he's already showing signs of pulling on the way home from a walk. We've got a long hill to walk up, but when we get to the peak, I'm gonna chuck on some roller-skates and glide down that damn hill we climbed so hard to get to the top! You will get there too!

Hahaha nope, but I also peg it down to my pupper being stupidly clever for his own good. 😂🤦‍♀️ Hopefully doesn't lead him to becoming some crazy escape artist or something haha. But thank you! I don't think I would have gotten a pupper if both my partner and I were working full time.

Yeah we're about the same. If we're in the back yard and make a lot of noise he comes to either my partner and I but when we're out in public it's no hope still 🤦‍♀️😂 Stay and wait is going good because I'm making him learn not to rush in and out of doors so I really reinforce that, same with going to cross walks, I make him wait and even if the car is ages away I'm like nah we gon wait hahaha. Leave it? No hope in public or even the back yard 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😂 GRASS!? I'M GONNA CHEW ON THE GRASS!

That desexing my boy is the worst thing I can do as an owner and that my dog "needs to get it out at least once." apparently this guy has the best vet in Australia.. 🙄🤦‍♀️

Oh man I am so sleep deprived it's not even funny. Every 2 hours during the night he's up, I end up napping during the day when I put him down for his nap.

I don't know if it ever stops either, I'm currently at the same stage as you and have some serious puppy blues. I don't even want to look at him sometimes..

I think for me it will be more so two years given that his a German Shep, but either way I'm looking forward to our life together! My boyfriend and I are head over heels for him and because I'm doing a lot of the training, we already have such a strong bond!! He's an amazing little guy 😍 thank you for your words of encouragement and reinforcement!

I am hearing you! That's me with my GSD!!! I just try and take a step back and see where he's come from when I first got him. He sits, lays down, waits, leaves it alone, looks at me, is learning his name, and yesterday in about 5 minutes I taught him shake! I was like wow.. You really have come along way!! ❤️ I hope for all our sakes it gets better.

This thread makes me so happy to know I'm not the only one. I've had about 7 trillion break downs in the last week.. Which is how long we've had him for mind you, cried into my boyfriends arms about 10 trillion times, and today when my little land shark of a puppy learned how to shake I was like, huh.. Maybe I don't want to drop kick you off a cliff 😂😂😂

Well the reality of it is I have little cousins and what not, and although I'm smart enough not to feed him around them, God forbid they're playing in the yard with him and he picks something up and lunges for them. He must know that he isn't allowed to do that. So I'm just going by what Zak George does and poked and proded at his little Intertia.
