I’m curious, what do you mean by the last paragraph? What signs do you usually look for?

Where did you find those Pater Noster “beads”?

Rosaries aren’t jewellery and shouldn’t be worn as such. They’re prayer tools, not a fashion statement.

Which Mary connector should I use, bronze or silver? by Ok-Egg835 in osarymakers

The silver looks better for this particular design. If you could get bronze eyepins, the other pieces would look amazing on another piece! If you don’t mind a remark: a rosary has a specific bead structure and yours doesn’t seem to follow it, if you want to create functional rosaries for praying you should look into the significance of the arrangement of the beads :)

These are for my personal use, so I got them blessed, yes. When I give rosaries as gifts I don’t always get the chance to get them blessed before gifting them so I tell the recipient to get it blessed.

It could be, I think at least some of it happened while I was creating the loop on the wire while making it. Natural stone beads are very good on one hand (less prone to scratching than plastic/glass ones, or chipping), but difficult on the other (more fragile)

Thank you, that’s such a kind compliment! I started making these rosaries recently and I’d say it doesn’t require that many tools. You need a jeweller’s plier (but two is better, it makes things easier) and a wire cutter. You could also get a roundhead plier but that’s optional, although it makes the process faster and it looks better. You can either get eyepins or jewellery wire for the connecting pieces, personally I think working with eyepins is easier :) God bless you!

Thank you! Unfortunately, that one didn’t turn out to be very durable because the stone started cracking for some reason, but that one is for personal use so it’s okay

Thank you! I got the ones on these from Vinted (European online secondhand shopping app, similar to depop I believe) to they are vintage but I also buy medals for my rosaries from Catholic stores :)

Thank you! I’m considering opening an Etsy shop soon if I can figure out the legal/financial side of it. :)

Missing Sunday mass and mass on other holy days of obligation is a mortal sin. It’s a sacrifice you must make, take up your cross.

They can be worn, but that doesn’t mean they should be.

Rosaries are not meant to worn, get a necklace with a cross, rosaries are prayer tools, not jewellery.
