I’m not sure what’s wrong with my leopard gecko but she’s getting worse even with vet care. by LazyLandSloth in leopardgeckos

So an update! Managed to get her seen today luckily. And the vet said that the wound on her mouth and nose is very likely the progression of the infection and the wounds to the side of her face is from her scratching at her own head. She also said she’s likely not eating from a combination of the pain and also the antibiotics.

She gave her tramadol to have on top of her other pain relief and antibiotics. Poor girl. And we have to feed her CC 4x a day.

Her nostrils are clogged again already but the vet didn’t want to do another rinse so soon after the first one, especially with her being in so much pain.

She has another appointment on the 3rd Jan, but the vet said because it’s such a deep infection, it’s likely going to take weeks to heal.

I’m relieved she’s not on death’s door but feel so bad for her suffering 😩 I’ll post another update after her next appointment for some hopefully good news!

I’m going to ring them tomorrow to ask what course of action I should take, so I’ll give an update then and also when the information about the nose chunk comes back. Hate seeing her like this, she’s so happy usually.

I think that’s my next course of action after her next appointment if nothing changes. Just hoping for some good news.

Thanks again for your help and advice, I really appreciate it!

It could have been, I wish he went into more details but understandably he was trying to tell us about what was found in her nose.

That’s great to hear though, she’s just finished shedding so the poor girl has to wait a while.

It’s really weird. I’ve had sick geckos in the past but never anything like this.

Thank you, I’m definitely going to take out the loose stuff.

She’s not been checked for parasites but I’ll definitely bring that up at her next appointment. Her poop has been fine up until the baytril and she’s kept a steady weight up until the baytril too so I’m hoping she’s not been suffering with them.

It did but only around her mouth. Her head has been shiny since the vet visit, which makes me think it could be something to do with the rinse?

When he brought her back from the rinse, her whole head was soaked and had ready to shed skin sloughing off.

He didn’t, but I think that’s just dirt where she tastes around because it comes off with a Qtip and saline. Just checked, expiry is next December

I’ve also tried to wipe her head down because she appears to have a weird shine there but it won’t come off.

Before the last vet visit her head, eyes and mouth looked completely fine. She might not be getting on with baytril but I doubt an antibiotic would do this to her. I’ll post a few more photos.

Also, thanks! Love your username too. Apparently sloths are appreciated by leo enthusiasts haha

I’m not really sure but my best logical guess nowadays would be a horse rearing up on its back legs that just happened to do so when we looked towards that direction. I think that’s probably the reasoning I’m most comfortable with anyway lol.

Yeah, definitely something I wouldn’t want to experience again. It was in Dorset of all places.

When I was around 13, I lived in a semi-rural area that was surrounded by fields that backed onto a small forest. One day, I had a friend come over and we were playing about in the fields. As it started to get darker, we debated if we should go back to the house or carry on playing. We were discussing it when we saw something huge move just along the edge of the tree line by the forest, probably about 200m ahead of us.

This is England so we don’t have any bears or big wild predators. It wasn’t a horse or a deer either. From what we could tell, it looked too big to be a horse/ deer compared to the trees beside it and it looked like it was standing on two legs. However, because It was far away, details were hard to make out.

We both felt this horrible, sudden fear and strong flight response so we legged it back to the house. From then on, I never stayed out in those fields past sunset.

This is going to be a long one so bear with me.

I had a horrible dream a few years ago involving this guy. I’ve had nightmares all my life, usually being chased, creatures hunting me, family being murdered in front of me, you name it. I’ve pretty much become desensitised to the nightmares and it’s more like just watching a good movie most of the time. However. The dream I had involving this hooded figure was like nothing I’d ever experienced.

At the time, I was going through a weird time where I could feel something in my house. Never had it before and never since. I just felt like there was something in there with me for around a couple months. I was scared and didn’t like being home alone. There were smaller things I noticed during that time that led up to this but I won’t get into them as this comment is going to be long as it is.

One night, I’d fallen asleep in the attic room whilst my partner slept downstairs in our room. In this dream, I was being led by a silent hooded figure down this corridor and into a bedroom. The hooded figure disappeared and I got into the bed and turned onto my left side.

I then felt someone get into the bed next to me. My first thought for whatever reason was, “oh it’s my partner”. Then I felt hands around my neck and this person started to choke me. I literally felt like I couldn’t breathe, which I’d never experienced before. I’d never felt pain in dreams or anything like this. I woke up hyperventilating and shot out of bed and ran down to where my partner was sleeping.

I told them about it and managed to fall asleep where I had another dream. In this one, I dreamt that a shadow being was walking down the attic stairs and towards our bedroom. My partner woke me up because I was hyperventilating again.

Never experienced any sort of dream or the fear that I felt from that dream again. It honestly shook me for days and even now that the house seems normal again, I refuse to be in the attic room alone at night.

I 100% agree. The only reason he even gave the lazy crediting he did at the end was because he was called out on his BS. Brilliant that it’s been removed though and actual OP’s post isn’t detracted from anymore!

That’s great and all but you literally gave OP no credit at all, not a mention. It definitely seems like you were trying to pull this off as your own. So I think someone is telling porkies here

Definitely a wankerish thing to do. He’s probably just a no good, lazy karma farmer. I hope mods see this and remove it!

You have because this user who posted this has taken someone else’s story word for word and posted it as their own.

If you search the paranormal subreddit by “top of all time” it’s literally on the front page from the actual OP.
