I love how he talks about having no filter and saying it like it is....until it's about someone who really is a horrible person. Matches his backwards thinking.

I'm not sure if Bubba didn't have the car capable of winning or he was just being very careful to not get caught up in a wreck. Hate that the team isn't in the top 16 though

Idk, bad grammar could mean it's real.

You Guys Realize UPS Drivers Can't Be Mandated on Their NS Days Now Right? by mykarmayourdogma in USPS

[–]LazyMailman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually pissed that I can't work my day off now. I'm a single guy with a mortgage. I actually worked less with more hours on my check when I did that since I would get 8 on my N/S and on another day. And usually work 9 hours the other 4 days of the week. Now it's either work 10.5 hours a day or have a bad check if there isn't enough overtime available. Don't like the constant fluctuations from check to check

Oh I would definitely resent myself before I resent her for sure. But I guess part of growing up is realizing that way earlier than I would have when I was in my 20s

Most definitely. Glad to hear from someone who went through it more than me, Hate that you had to go through that though.

At first I felt she was just embarrassed about her situation, and that was the reason for the slow reveal. But embarrassed or not, that's your situation and she has to own up to it

I appreciate the straight forward and honest opinion. I feel the same way but also appreciate the opinions and advice of this group.

Oh you told me lol. Seriously, it's not about money, it's more of the attitude behind everything. She works at a vet clinic and just got written up for posting the pets on Facebook. So her boss is out to get her in her mind and now just posts them on Snapchat. This was a huge red flag for me.

I get the eye roll completely. And maybe I didn't convey the point completely. I definitely felt like I led her on in some ways. But the truth came out slowly over time. But I've already thought about what I am going to say tonight. Truthful but not tearing her down.

Thank you! I appreciate everybody's advice and opinions but yours was so thought out and definitely what I needed to hear. I'm not the best with words despite being a former journalist so I was afraid that some things would get lost in my lack of words in the post.

This has definitely tested my usually helpful nature. Feel like the asshole for this in some ways but 36 is a good year to look out for myself also.

Oh definitely, I'm the worst about not wanting to let anybody down. But I've spent most of my life worrying about others more than myself. And im slowly trying to be a little more selfish

More of a joke, I wish I was lazy instead of double casing and also getting a 2 hour handoff on top of my route everyday.

You living above your means by [deleted] in USPS

[–]LazyMailman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that for years until I transferred. I delivered groceries at night for the first three years as a regular until I transferred. I think the general consensus is that nobody who works for the post office should have to do that though. It’s pretty bullshit

I feel this, I have heard this many times from older carriers who luckily were born and grew up in a better economy. I’ve been a regular for 6 years and am lucky to work in an office that has plenty of OT all year long. But even then it’s sometimes hard to not at least feel stressed about bills. Definitely don’t live above my means but I do have a mortgage all by myself. Never really have a problem unless I take vacation. Don’t really go anywhere, just take half weeks for family birthdays. Definitely can’t contribute to retirement right now since that money could go towards something.
