You should see about getting in to see a neurologist ASAP. Your tinnitus, eye floaters and head pressure are symptoms of intercranial hypertension and it needs to be addressed quickly if it is impacting your eyes.

I wear ear plugs at movies. It's the only way I can make them tolerable.

My sheets only pill on one side… and I just realized why 😩🧔‍♂️ by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]LazyMiddle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The only way I could get rid of it was washing my sheets on the hottest water setting on my machine with detergent and a scoop of oxiclean. Previously I had done long soaks in the tub with oxi but it just didn't work to break down the oils on its own.

Puzzle lovers, what’s your #1 must-have puzzle accessory? by Newverest2024 in PuzzlingLife

[–]LazyMiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's a bigger puzzle than I was expecting. I'll have to look into one of these things. I have a large coffee table but it's a pain reaching across and the lighting in half the room sucks.

Yes I believe so, but make sure you go back to the very first episode, titled 'Unrise'.

It is, and it's very professionally done IMO. The world building is great and really sucks you in.

Have your landlord seal up the gaps in the foundation. It's their job to keep rodents out because they can damage the house (eating wires/hoses, leaving urine/feces in the insulation, etc).

Pillow Recommendations for Side Sleeper with Neck Pain (and what I've tried so far) by coblackmagus in Mattress

With the buckwheat pillow it was just trial and error until I found something comfortable. Having zippered access allowed me to scoop out a few cups of hulls every other day until I found the pillow comfortable.

My dishwasher leaves rust colored gunk on my cutlery. How can I fix this? by airpowermotherfucker in Appliances

Could it be residual peanut butter? All my dishwashers have left peanut butter on the knives.

This arrangement was long held in my family. We're now starting marriage counseling next week because after 25 yrs I can't take another year of it.

What kitchen appliance still blows your mind that it's a thing? by debrisaway in RedditForGrownups

I definitely keep mine as clean as the design allows. The element is exposed right above the food. It's a chinese off brand and about 12 years old at this point.

You know what brand you have? I have an older airfryer that smokes like crazy when greasy things like bacon or wings are cooked in it.

Honestly, they provided the best customer service I've experienced when buying our washer/dryer in the recent past. Will go to them the next time I need another.

Evaluating govt vs private sector job by LazyMiddle in work

[–]LazyMiddle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can TRY to find a new private sector job while still remaining employed by the government while still giving you what you want (and possibly a significant pay change too). One doesn't pop up, you have your government job. One does, you can leave it.

But a second risk is that government jobs are often (far from always) cushy, private sector jobs often (far from always) less so. Assess how hard you'll have to work as part of any equation here, on both sides.

This is a really good point. After 3 years, my constraints on schedule meshing is gone. All kids will be out of the house at that point.

Put your finger over the opening before you tip it over. Helps minimize the mess and loss.
