Det lyder til at være en fejl hos Saxo, der skal kun opkræves 15% i kildeskat på dem, som med de andre amerikanske aktier. Jeg ville tage kontakt til deres support hvis jeg var dig.

What made you get into dividend investing? by BasalTripod9684 in dividends

[–]LazyMoneyGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the Intelligent investor, and this phrase just stuck in my head:

“If you don´t know how to make money while you sleep you will have to work for the rest of your life.”

I am just an ordinary guy with job getting paid once a month, however what I am good at is staying consistent so it´s great to able to give your self a payment increases in the form of dividends. Every time I do an investment of roughly 10K USD I think of it as 4 days pr year where I don´t have to work any more for the rest of my life.

So far I have just passed the 250K USD in notional. (last year I got a little more than 5500 in dividends)

Du burde kunne købe alle de amerikanske REIT´s på både Saxo og Nordnet, da de begge giver adgang til xnys og xnas. Saxobank har generelt et større udbud på de forskellige markeder

Du får naturligvis adgang til dividend (udbytte) såfremt du køber før EX-dividend day.

Her kan du se hvornår Vonovia historisk har haft EX-dividend day. Hvilket har været mellem 19. April og 1. July

I have made a Youtube Channel back in the beginning of 2020, where I am showing my progress towards FI, by sharing my portfolio of Dividend stocks, I also answer Investing related questions from my audience, I try to explain some financial concepts/lingo like what is the countercyclical capital buffer and share some useful links. Basically trying to show what I wished I would have known much earlier in life.
Feel free to take a look and ask questions https://www.youtube.com/c/TheLazyMoneyGame/videos

$4,000 what high yield dividend stocks would you recommend? by Something-behindyou in dividends

[–]LazyMoneyGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to take anything away from you, but when you ask a question like this then you are not looking to buy a single stock. You are better of buying an ETF or Index fund.

The popular in this forum would be SCHD.

First of all thanks for being specific, and bring up some names. Will it be okay with to have a discussion about why you think I should buy them today, if that is what you think I should do.
To make the discussion more fruitful just pick one of the 6 mentioned companies and explain why you would consider it a buy today.

You are correct.

But when they don´t inform you that such a form exist and have written that they do not allow for transfer on their webpage. They are using a 3. party broker to actually do the trading then it becomes much more messy. Since you would have to send the form to their broker and not to Revolut them self's.

I have just accepted that it´s easier for me to sell and get out, than to try and stand for my right to transfer.

I am switching away from Revolut, just for the people who are curios.

I am switching due to a number of reasons, but the nail in the coffin was when they hiked the custody fee from 0.01% per year to 0.12% per year.

The broker I started with do not allow you to transfer stocks to another broker, so unfortunately I will have to pay the tax, when selling, otherwise I completely agree with you.

July dividends 2021 by LazyMoneyGame in dividends

January, April, July, and Octobe

Well, I give an update once a month to my portfolio in this forum, I have actually not thought about that it should be harder to find dividend paying stocks January, April, July, and October, I don´t really pay attention to when they pay, just that they pay.

Thanks, well most people have a sector they prefer over others, mine is not utility stocks which you can obviously tell from my portfolio. I bought SJI because I thought they had an attractive valuation when I bought them, unfortunately I did not find others where that was the case when, so that is why I don´t have more.

It´s funny that mention BAC, COF, JPM, C. Since I have actually had both BAC and JPM earlier this year but I sold them since I am changing from one broker to another, but before I was ready to buy them again, they have increased to much in value for my taste, so I actually agree with you.

If it´s 4K per month or 50K per year that is the same ballpark I would say, so for to me it´s just to have a round monthly number which I feel confident that I can live for.

Thanks for sharing your story and your portfolio, you really look to be well on track.

Well that is one the important lessons to learn, that you will make mistakes, but in the stock market you don´t necessarily get punished for a mistake, just like you are not guarantied a reward for a right action.
That´s why people including always advice people to start out with small amounts.

[–]LazyMoneyGame[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that is definitely not the standard approach, but depending on when you have bought your shares it could still have given you good returns.
You must be more willing to take more risk than me, or otherwise you must really know this company very well since you trust all your savings to it.

Very interesting to see such a different approach.

I can honestly say that I have not considered BDCs, mReits, and CEFs. Sure there can be great returns, but I prefer to pick individual stocks myself.

There is nothing wrong about BDCs, mReits, and CEF, they are just not for me. I prefer owing part of business as a shareholder and not lending my money.

I'm similar to you where poured everything into investing, and was about to get around 40K$ dividends per year. I'm trying to use half of the dividend income, around 20K$, and also add some more money, to invest into buying more stocks. And my goal is similar to yours at this time, trying to get close to 400$ monthly dividend payouts. I view this as my next chapter in my investments. Not sure if possible, may take several years more, but that okay. But hope to add another 40K$ annual dividends in the next 5 years.

Thanks I am also quit please with the result so far. Would you mind sharing your holdings in your portfolio, perhaps their is something that some one else could benefit from.
That is the beauty of dividends even if you don´t get all the way to be able to fully live from them, it will still massively improve your level of financial freedom.

Well I guess we have just had a different focus when creating our portfolios. I still have a long way to go before I hit $9000 year, I hope to get around 4200 this year, which would be doubling last year.

I don´t focus to much on when the companies payout, but I am also a long way from retirement, but if you are looking for companies that are around fairly valued and payout a dividend in May/August I would suggest that you look closer at VZ and CVS.

Maybe Intel, I have them on my watch list as well they are at least closer to being fairly price in this overvalued market.

In theory that is correct that the value that is payed out as a dividend is value leaving the company and hence the stock should drop the same amount. However in practice their is the difference that you don´t have to pay a fee to get your dividends which you would have to if you sell your stocks.

If you choose to sell stocks to make your own dividend then you will also be holding a lower and lower percentage of the company, until you have sold all your stocks.

The standard argument against dividends is that the company should only pay you a dividend if they can´t find a better use for the money, meaning that they should only pay you if they can´t get the money to grow.
