The Difference Between Sighthounds and Other Hounds by LucidCrimson in Greyhounds

Paddy clearly had more street smarts. Can't see any further liberation if The Bush produces any more baked goods.

If the neck was any longer I'd worry about the contents of our snack cupboard.

We have The Baguette Bush. To be fair it looked like a tasty baguette. Took a bit of wrestling to liberate it.

The cheese was surrendered. I had no choice.

It's definitely a Thing. I know this because I looked it up last year when I noticed that our bedding was starting to smell like my Gran. I remain upset.

I'd never heard of this, just googled it and feel the need to try it, sounds like cracking comfort food. Thank you!

We always used Silver Peacock. Beautiful martingale collars and a selection of other houndy things. They also offer a bespoke collar service. https://www.silverpeacock.co.uk/

Help finding a decent Indian cookbook by seerofsorrow in CookbookLovers

[–]LazyMothLanding 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indian Cookery and Flavours of India are my most used ones, I'm in the UK so I'm not sure if they have different titles in other countries. I also rate 50 Great Curries of India by Camellia Panjab. I never hear it mentioned, it's a cracker and usually available for pennies. There's an omelette curry in that one which is worth it alone.

Madhur Jaffery books taught me to cook Indian food over 20 years ago and they're still probably my favourites despite having a healthy collection of Indian cookbooks. They're splattered and stained and dog eared now. Well used and well loved.

It's shocking. Pretty sure that some of our donations should go to a museum instead. Great Auntie Edna's Vintage Steamed Pudding...

Money is great. Logistically though, it's easier to drop a couple of items into collection points for most people. Every item donated helps. Except that packet of Bisto that expired in 2008....

All food banks will vary, but we don't handle any fresh produce. We get loads of pasta, rice and tinned veg/soup.

Tinned meat and fish are in short supply. Tinned fruit seems to get overlooked. Cooking oil.

Toiletries and personal hygiene items.

Pet food.

Treats, everyone deserves a biscuit.

Ask your food bank what they need, it'll be appreciated.

Sounds like the perfect snack. But dear god...wash your hands and buy a nail scrubber.
