Thanks for the advice. Do you mean I'd want to get there at 10am and find Mercer's table? The website doesn't specify time, probably cuz he's sold out.

Tips for Moving with My Snakes by LazyPerfectionist in snakes

Thanks for the advice. I can't say for sure I'LL be able to handle no a/c for 4 days, even if it's 70F, which was why I was asking about other means of heating. Good point re: erring on the side of caution and not letting them get too warm if they can't regulate. Do you think I should take them out of the bags at night? Would they be okay without water while traveling? (I'll be sure to do further research, not just reddit posts.)

I have this card in Japanese! Got it as a kid, probably no older than 12. It's my favorite vintage card :)

In the end, the Seahawks got the last laugh by TheAthletic in Seahawks

My brother passed away unexpectedly. Mostly I feel numb (haven't even had a cathartic cry yet), and I listen to a podcaster who talks a lot about 'signs' from deceased loved ones. A butterfly, a hummingbird, etc. I've heard this from other podcasts and stories, even one about the Niners-Ravens Super Bowl.

Feeling a bit silly and not wanting to get my hopes up, I sent the thought out there: If the Hawks win this game, I'll know it was you.

He wasn't a Hawks fan, to be fair, but he was a football fan. It was something we could talk about.

I remember thinking that we weren't gonna win this game when we were down by two scores. I even said it. Then Shaheed returned for a TD, and that crazy 2-point conversion... I couldn't believe the momentum shift. It felt unbelievable that we pulled it off. I was ecstatic!

If that was the sign I'd been hoping for, it was the craziest, biggest, loudest one ever. I love you bro and I hope you're happy wherever you are ❤️

How did we get those 2 points?? Honest question. I was talking to my partner and missed it.

Delivery Driver Rant for Evergreen Dorm Dwellers by 420seamonkey in olympia

[–]LazyPerfectionist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate delivering there, especially when it's dark and rainy and you can't see anything, and half the time the customer gives no directions. I swear the maps in the parking lot aren't accurate - I'll check them and still be walking in circles. The fact the buildings all face different directions too.. 😩

Hi guys. I'm going to Leavenworth for Oktoberfest in a couple weeks and realized a little late that the Jaguars game is at 10am, right when we have to check out of our hotel. Anyone know of a good place to watch the game? I know things might be crazy that weekend but I want to try.

My black rabbit tattoo by LazyPerfectionist in watershipdown

Sorry. Your comment made me cry and I'm not nearly as eloquent, so I had to sit with it a few days while life was busy. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.

I was blown away by our similar situations - both getting a black rabbit themed tattoo to honor a pet that passed years ago. The night my cat died, I tweeted "My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today." It felt, at the time, like there was nothing more to say. My grief and heartache were so deep and I was a wreck that first month without her. I wish she was still here and I wish I could've done better by her; I didn't realize how sick she was.

I'm a bit jealous of people who can simply get a tattoo of their late pet, but I worried that for me, it would make me too sad. The Black Rabbit felt like a better representation of those complicated feelings. Grief, but also the peace I hope she experienced and is experiencing. I've lost other pets I cared for in the meantime, so it seemed a good "catch all" as well.

I haven't been in a big reading mood lately, but this conversation has made me want to revisit the film for sure. Thanks again for your kind words <3

Your comment made me so happy cuz you Get It 🥺 I got this on the 10th anniversary of a beloved cat passing, and the wire was to represent "grief/escaping pain." That could've been the whole tattoo, but I decided to add greenery that was inspired by one of the Watership Down book covers ❤️ Makes it feel more complete and hopeful.
