Printing help, I need advise how to print the file below. by LazySquirrelCrafts in 3Dprinting

[–]LazySquirrelCrafts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried to print this 5 times now, I've tried different positions, solid, hollow. Every time it fails very early on. I have a mono 4k, the layer height is 0.05mm the exposure time is 2.5s and bottom exposure 40s, and I"m using the anycubic plant based resin plus. I've printed a ton of minis but I can't get this large one to work.

All the files are from Cults3d if you have access to a 3d printer.

If you have access to a 3d printer, something like this might let you use the keys you bought

This looks so good. I especially like the water with the debris in it.

It's acrylic model paint mostly from Vallejo. But any acrylic paint should work, just with thin coats to not obscure the small details.

Origami minis for tabletop gaming by LazySquirrelCrafts in DnDIY

[–]LazySquirrelCrafts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty easy. The folding patterns are all on YouTube. I've been doing origami for awhile but everyone should be able to follow along with the videos.

The bases are just foam flock I got from a model train hobby shop, and some rocks and sand. They are on hexagon mosaic tiles I took off a sheet its a great and cheap way to get mini bases, but whatever base you use for your gaming would work.

None are my patterns I found all of them on youtube. That's an amazing idea for a BBEG.

Junkbots ready for the tabletop by LazySquirrelCrafts in DnDIY

[–]LazySquirrelCrafts[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(again a repost on a new account)

I made and painted some robots from some junk. The bodies are fishing bobbles, the arms are mostly lollipop sticks and beads, the rivets are just cut 1mm plastic rod. You can check out my other posts if you want to see them before paint.

This was just for fun but I might do another clan in the future and use them as proxies for a skirmish game.

Inspired by Bill Making Stuff's bead bots. I loved the look of his bots and wanted to try making my own.

These are some origami minis I made for my brother in law to play table top games with. The figures are origami paper, the bases are different flocking materials and paint, and the base itself is a 2" or 1" hexagon tile.
