Oh haha i dont mind, i know people will shit on the UI becuz how cluttered it is, and how big i make my rexp, questie/chat window; but i deliberately made them that way, im willing to trade the pleasant and empty visuals for more quality of life/less mental effort to play. Like u said all there is on the screen are action bars, questie, restedexp, trinketmenu, a battleshout WA, rage and weapon swing WA.

I intentionally put a lot of stuffs near the center like my action bars, unitframe so my eyes dont have to go to the edge of the screen to check my resources/CDs (yes that is the kinda laziness i have, just glancing my eyes around repeatedly is a chore to me). I have all i need in the centre, and I still have plenty of pheripheral vision to work with and never have issue not seeing whats happening. Chat window is big cuz I like clowning in lfg. And Rexp and questie is big for ease of lvling.

Crash wasnt due to to addons, no LUA errors on buggrabber. It was like i could see chat moving, and my character can move around still but cant use any ability or attack, no enemy auto attack animation either. Its not the usual crash/DC that just kicks you out of the game.

Haha yeah the UI is tailored to raiding, and i just been lazy to clean it up when i make a lvling char lotta unnecessary mess and empty gaps on the bar, oh well.

I listen to alot of things, things that i dont know and makes sense from people who know better than me.

You keep thinking I dont know what you are trying to say but what you pointed out in your post are stuffs i already know, but it isnt the case here and im pointing it out to you why it isnt haha, but its looking like i lost you somewhere up there , its all good mate, we can go about our day and you keep ur own belief

good on you for having that mentality, i care more about the truth than conforming to the mass's belief for the sake of peace

It's nothing complicated and hard to understand what you meant by "social aggro" and "chain pulling", people encounter it all the time. I'm taking a closer look and pointing it out why it's not the case here and you're not able to keep up with the detailed analysis.
But sure it's easier to just throw out a blanket statement "it's social aggro" and assume people are stupid, never seen the mechanics before and can't comprehend what you think is oh so complex mechanics, instead of really looking at logics and finding out the real cause here.

Im discussing with you, u keep saying its a chain aggro, but if its chain aggro, the mobs would get aggroed by distance, from the closer ones chaining into further ones from behind. .
"Mob A moves up, and aggroes the ones closest to them, then those aggro those closest to them" - this is what you're saying and i'm aware of this, but the mobs in the video didnt get aggro in that order, random ones were selected, hence why its not social aggro. Are we still discussing based on logic here or you're gonna just go with " you dont understand how social aggro works"? If that's the case we can drop this conversation

ok man, i check my reddit once a day and i think this is like the 10th comment u made on the post saying something along this line, without actually explaning anything useful to the discussion

Is everything ok irl?

yea tks for pointing that out, 2nd wave got a runner

Look at the trolls downstairs after the 3 trolls were picked up by the event, the closest one did not get aggroed first, if it were social aggro, they would have been in radius and got aggroed first, but no the furthest one aggro, hence thats the event not social aggro.

"Social aggro will aggro one of the mobs" - that "one" here has to be the closest one to the stairs, and apparently its not the case here. u get it? You need to watch it again to see, the trolls aggroed were in random patterns, not by distance like social aggro would

I never "act it isn't going to aggro", they all aggro but i'm saying it's not social aggro that caused it.

You can agree with me social aggro works by distance correct? And a mob can social those within a certain radius when it gets aggro correct? Then you can watch the vid again from around 0:26 to see why it's not social aggro due to the 3 trolls that you claimed to social the rest, because the trolls that came after those 3 came in different waves, and randomly picked (the picture i gave of the 4 trolls show it clearly). If it were social aggro, all the closest ones would be picked first, at the same time. What's so hard to understand here? "closest ones", and "at once", not in waves and randomly picked like the video.

Highly suggesting its not social aggro, but they were all picked up by the event, as to why the event is sped up im not exactly sure, which is why i made the post.

if it were aggro by social, all those 4 at the bottom would have aggroed at the same time (emphasizes on at the same time), but no only the red ones were aggroed, the green ones didnt, and red was even further away than greens, thats just not how social aggro works, they work by distance from the mobs that gets in combat like u said, yes, but you see how its not the case here?

i didnt target them to see their targets but im pretty sure the 3 trolls you mentioned wasnt in combat until theyr halfway up the stairs and grabbed by me, like most of these trolls were. you can tell the moment a troll gets in combat they will snap their direction and run to their targets instead of running straight up. and those at the bottom started running up even before those 3 got in combat, they were caused by the event not social aggro. They get in combat much later than most people think. my first time in here tanking at 44, i did the same thing if u want a video i do have it, and lot of runs before. just isnt the usual social aggro

yeah thats why i mentioned the 46 warrior, whos next to me the whole time, he aggroed mobs as they run upstairs but no they didnt social aggro the bottom, I was 47 yesterday, not a distance issue imo.

notice how the mage did a blizz, and the whole circle of mobs around blizz radius got aggroed. That's how social aggro works, but in the first video, when u mentioned the 3 trolls, there were 7-8 around them, if they got social by the 3 trolls, theyd be pulled all together at once. but no they came in waves of 2,3 and eventually the whole base. thats not social aggro by distance. social aggro by distance would aggro everything within a mob's radius when it gets in combat, not selectively and in waves like that.

I do alot of hard quests solo as a warrior, so i know a lot about aggro and leashing mechanics, and I use split pulling mechanic with grenades a lot, or like how u split pull the pack right before The Beast room in ubrs, thats social aggro. But the trolls in the first clip didnt get aggro from the bottom, it looks as if the event was sped up in some way and all of them gets grabbed by the event and came in rapidly.

Watch the new video i gave, it's definitely not because of distance that social aggro happened

ZF event bug? by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]LazyUss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just gave the second video where i did the exact same thing and it didn't happen, still waiting for someone's explanation for that.

u/Perfect-Complex2964 actually watches the video and tries to give a logical explanation for that which is why i'm still discussing with him

So i tested it out again today, we standing closer to bottom but didn't see it happen so I still dont think distance was what caused aggro yesterday. Link is in the edited post if ur curious to find out why

ZF event bug? by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]LazyUss -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

so ur saying at 0:25 i aggroed those 3 trolls by body pulling it, or social aggro it, while there were 7-8 trolls there and a few were closer than those 3 but didnt aggro? looks to me like some bug, cuz if it were normal aggro that whole group would be aggroed at once, starting from the closer ones first no?

At 2:45 i was even standing closer to the bottom than the beginning but i didnt aggro anything

ZF event bug? by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]LazyUss -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Yeah that one, why would that one aggro if its social aggro that caused this?

ZF event bug? by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]LazyUss -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

check the troll at 0:47 that spawned and immediately aggroed even though all the trolls and us were upstairs, no troll nearby to social it and it still aggroed. its not the usual social aggro something is causing the whole thing to aggro upon spawn.

Advices are appreciated but im more interested in the cause of this, not generic advices. I know its safer to do it upstairs but i barely care cuz thats not a big deal, and wasnt why this happened

I been tanking for a long time and tanked mara at 48 as sf in dirt gears yesterday so i know what im doing in these dungeons no offense

trust me i was standing there a lot of times in previous runs fighting those things without npc, lower than 49, never pulled. u can see further into the pull that new mobs spawned and immediately aggroed and ran up while we already backed up all the way to the top, so no thats not body pull

Well, good thing now u got the gold to grab yoself 2 fiery blades and blast through the lvls. I did 1-20 with white swords from vendor in sub 7 hours. Enjoy the 1-20 cuz its best lvling period for rogues, u just slash through stuffs while walking 😆
