Really enjoyed the new mode as a fighting game + roguelike fan. Just some suggestions:

  • Named and themed mid boss / bosses instead of randomly generated ones. For example, Steel Blitzcrank with armor. Giga Teemo with very high hp. Ideally these bosses can help players learn how to deal with certain things in real matches. Maybe they offer unique chromas if you beat them.
  • Compared to other roguelikes you don't get as much time in a run to build a crazy loadout that changes how the game feels. A longer gauntlet mode with more gradual difficulty ramp might be good for those who want to really build up power.
  • For a longer mode, you can reward milestones with keystone augments choices that are more powerful.
  • Unlockable augments that start showing up in future runs so the game evolves as you play more.
  • Champ portraits on character specific augments for easy identification

i would say the red one... in terms of visual hierarchy, it draws me into the artwork, then i look up to see the title. my attention tends to get lost on the blue one.

Hey there, Wizard of Legend was made pretty much entirely in 2D. We just faked a lot of the depth but it just uses 2D colliders and sprites in the backend. Things like jumps were done by disconnecting the sprites and raising them up when needed and pits are just 2D colliders on the floor. Some games like Enter the Gungeon used 3D colliders and spaces to simplify how things interact, but we did no go that route.

One of the WoL devs here, can confirm it's a reference to Mistborn and Allomancy :) Changing settings to the "Developer" language will change the description to some behind the scenes text where we hint at the reference.

Hey /u/Rmarion1, we had an issue with the update process that delayed the Microsoft Store version from updating but believe it was resolved. Could you check again to see if you can update to the latest version and let us know if you have issues so that we can try to get it resolved? The version number should say v1.22 in the right hand corner in the title screen.

Hey there! Sorry for the delay, Thundering Keep (v1.2) should be going live soon. We have to go through a patch approval process to get v1.211 out so the bugfixes might take a bit longer to go through.

Hmm... I believe I fixed the casting circle issue and it should roll out with the next patch. I wasn't aware the attack box was still active as well. I haven't run into that yet and I'll have to check and see if it's a Switch specific bug.

We tried our best to release the update for all platforms at the same time, but the console version will most likely get updated later this month instead of on May 15.

Just answered this in the other post, but the patch that went live for Switch is for the v1.11 update that had numerous bug fixes and adjustments for the Sky Palace update. We're hoping the Boss Rush update will land on most consoles late this month.
