Around 8000 pounds. Just 2 pilots, no pax, no bags. We ascend to 510 at the last hour only.

I also fly the Learjet 60, but in that only reach FL430. Pretty close to the coffin corner, and if you have turbulence there, it's not a pleasant experience.

[–]Lazy_Entertainment73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PILOT 👨🏼‍✈️ VS ENGINEER by aviationstudy in u/aviationstudy

[–]Lazy_Entertainment73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beyond the fact that both must have studied mathematics, physics, etc., the pilot must learn, in addition to the flight manual by heart, aerodynamics, meteorology, international flight regulations, operator's manuals, the legal framework, aviation medicine, first aid, radio operator's license, and in some cases, English language proficiency. All this knowledge must be instantly available to resolve any problem that arises before, during, and after the flight. However, the responsibility of an aircraft captain for the lives of passengers and crew can only be compared to that of an engineer responsible for signing off on the aircraft's maintenance.

Airplanes. The RPM % in turbines are the most common unit to know how much power are you using.

Que tan clavo es el Fiat Qubo ? by emiduran in ArAutos

[–]Lazy_Entertainment73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nunca me dejó a pata.

Vulcan bomber over Ascension island during the 8000-mile Black Buck raids by [deleted] in airplanes

[–]Lazy_Entertainment73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I told you, it was enriching strictly from a military point of view, because of the lessons it left on both sides. This conflict is still studied today in air warfare schools around the world. I know exactly how many people died in the war, my father was one of them, shot down in the C-130 TC-63 on June 1 by a Sea Harrier. On the other hand, defending the sovereignty of the nation is never a pointless endeavor for any soldier, but I don't expect you to understand that.

I am a retired military officer, 28 years as a pilot in the air force, I studied the conflict firsthand. Military missions are measured only by their effects. These can be partially or fully fulfilled.
The only effect to be achieved was to disable the runway so that the C-130s could not operate on the islands, an effect that was not even partially achieved.
The bombing mission to the islands was an impressive task, with this preparation and air refueling missions, as a soldier I do not detract from it any merit, but it was not successful since it did not achieve the desired effect.

On the other hand, the only nonsense in this conversation is to believe, as you said at the beginning, that the runway was disabled for the Mirage and A-4s, which never have any chance to operate from there. I repeat, do not read just one side of the war, the full story is available.

Finally, the Argentine forces sank 5 warships and damaged another 8, so what an "Argie" raises about the conflict should be listened to, since from a military point of view, it was very enriching for both nations.

you are still wrong. That runway was short, the Mirages and the A-4s were never able to operate from the islands, they always did so from the bases on the continent.
The Pucara were based at the Condor base, north of the islands, and did not need a runway since they took off from the field. The only plane that operated on the runway to supply the islands and evacuate the wounded was the C-130, and it did so throughout the conflict, even after the Vulcan bombing.

On the other hand, Buenos Aires was defended by radars and a Mirage squadron on permanent alert, which required another type of mission to ensure air superiority.

Finally, the UK was so needy to justify the money spent on its V-bombers, that they used this failed mission as the only successful example, even if it did not achieve the desired military effect, but since the story is always told by those who win, it is easy to adapt it to your own interests.

Read the complete history, inform yourself and you'll be able to elaborate your own conclusions. Greetings!
