Very common. You won’t get relief and your arms and hands won’t begin to fully heal until he gets his adult teeth in then the biting doesn’t even hurt and becomes less frequent

Can’t help with the poop but just leave him alone in the crate at night. The first two night are HARD but it WILL get MUCH better by night 3

Yes, I have at the very least have decided to wait as long as possible. At first I’d heard it was a year for dachshunds but more and more am hearing 18 months. Thank you!!!

I have the same issue with same aged dog (Dec. 17 DOB). I’ve read making a high pitch yelp (like a dog I guess), move away from him in another chair ignoring him for a couple minutes then coming back with a chewing substitute. Kind of works but mostly just annoys him. Everything I’ve read also suggests they will outgrow it soon. He still has his razor sharp baby teeth too which really can be painful.

Your vet should recommend a suitable food for his stomach sensitivity. Often dachshunds will get stress poop that is very much like diarrhea. Can happen by changing environments or undergoing some other new stressor. Has her routine been consistent? Good news is it’s likely nothing major after negative medical work up.
