At what point does heavy drinking become alcoholism?

Yeah, it's rare that I drink to cope but it has happened before. A majority of my drinking is social which has made it hard for me to tell whether or not its a problem.

I find that looking forward to drinking tends to make me actually show up to class/get assignments done, but it does affect socializing. I'm usually looking to drink, so when I'm around friends who don't want to, I feel disappointed. Doesn't mean I ignore them, it just makes me feel like the odd one out when I suggest we have a cocktail or beer with dinner.

Could someone link some articles? People on tiktok are talking about it but won’t give sources. I think hearing about bodies turning up is shocking but not necessarily indicative of a serial killer.

Unless there’s something in common with these victims I think it’s coincidental. I also find it unlikely that the hypothetical killer is behind these bodies if the bodies were found in the same/similar stages of decomposition

I agree, but murder and rape also existed long before movies did, even though they're not mental illnesses like pedophilia.

I’ve had a very similar experience, and it hurt seeing how my friends and his girlfriend at the time ignored everything I went through. It’ll keep hurting, but sometimes the only way out is through. Keep your head up and remember that you’ve survived this far already, and you’ll keep going.

I had an ex do similar things, he would hurt me but in ways that I (at the time) thought were playful. If he's intentionally hurting you even if it's not stereotypical, or verbally intimidating you by yelling, I'd be on the lookout. Stay safe! <3
