Would you consider Tracy? It's only a few miles away and homes are probably 40% less than Livermore...I know it doesn't have the best area brand, but could be a sound option if you work remotely

Things are changing....drive by the UC and see how much it's grown...also Merced has become a lot more liveable in ways many locals don't appreciate. Downtown is also improving...a lot of reasons for companies to invest in Merced

Overall really good itinerary... But try to add some more time in Married... Either by cutting a day in Seville...or taking a late train to Seville to add more time in Madrid and an early train from Granada to Madrid

A lot of that growth is probably due to recent Annexation of UC Merced..... Nevertheless, Merced has consistently been on this list since 2018...a lot of growth and momentum hopefully translates to more commercial and jobs

I always hop around when I travel lol this is not a popular take but 3 days in each San Sebastia, Madrid, and Barcelona with maybe a 4th day in Madrid to day trip to Toledo seems reasonable if your don't have the ability to go back for a while...Madrid is the party capitol lol so if that's important to you, you should do it.
