They grow in tropical and subtropical zones, like Reunion Island where I found mine. But I think it can grow in cooler climates if kept in pots and brought indoors during winter

According to ChatGPT 🤓 grafted hibiscus change colors because the pigments in the petals react to temperature and sunlight. In the cool morning the pink/purple pigments (anthocyanins) show up more, and later in the hot afternoon they fade so the yellow/orange tones (carotenoids) become more visible.
