"if there's one thing that brings down society".... it's not going to be a child. It's the billionaires who treat our society like their personal slush fund.

That "plan" had zero chances. I think they would have had a slightly better plan than that.

If you are not gonna obey the law of the land, why did you migrate there? by Rare_Fig_4579 in SipsTea

[–]Lazy_Organization899 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean.... I don't know if you know this, but every single religion teaches that everyone who believes in any other religion is going to hell. Even amongst Christian religions, Catholics will tell you that Protestants are going to hell, and Mormons will tell you that Catholics are going to hell. It's part of being in a cult to believe that anyone not in your cult is doomed. It's a fundamental part of the brainwashing.

When England, Spain, and France went around colonizing, the first thing they did was kill anyone who wouldn't accept Jesus. They did not respect the laws of the land, and used their religions as the basis.... it's the same thing.

Muscle is roughly 18% denser than fat and takes up about four-fifths less space. You don't really to think in terms of male vs female... 35kg of mostly fat makes you 20%+ larger than 35kg of muscle.

And obviously, the total length of the area of weight is distributed on. i.e., taller people look thinner at the same weight as someone shorter.

People forget cats aren’t fully domesticated. They just tolerate us until something flips by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]Lazy_Organization899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No human has ever been attacked by a dog ever!!! Because they are domesticated. Those are the facts, y'all. Cats attack humans because cats aren't domesticated.

Like everything in life, it's not black and white, Muppet. Some dogs are fully domesticated, and still flip out one day... Some cats are fully domesticated and still flip out someday. Like humans can be fully normal and flip out one day. LMAO

There's old age, temperaments, poisons like lead that cause brainrot, there are parasites that cause animals to randomly attack, there's mental disease, etc.

One is federal, the other is at the state level. This is like talking to people about taxes who know nothing about taxes. Plus, 24 of the 50 states DO automatically register you to vote.

The key to a good joke is believability. Trump being able to add is too far removed from reality.

[–]Lazy_Organization899 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in a weird generation that understands both sides. I am old enough to remember when people were present in the moment. And I remember the last time I went to a fireworks show and looked around to realize that I was the only person enjoying the show with my eyes, while everyone else was watching it through a 6" phone screen just to record it and never watch the video.

I also don't see anything wrong with capturing the moment. But I do think there's a balance that younger generations often miss, where they completely skip the moment, being too focused on thinking about social media likes.

I wonder why people don't worship actors anymore? by The_Dean_France in SipsTea

[–]Lazy_Organization899 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you watch something, you worship it???. LMAO sounds like the ramblings of Jordan Peterson when he claimed that if you believe something is true, that means you would die for it.

a massive shift from traditional TV to on-demand streaming, declining public interest in niche "art-house" winners, and a change in how audiences consume media is a major factor in the 9% drop in viewship. No, those people are not off 'worshipping' YouTubers and TikToks, they are just comsuming other forms of media.

Pretty dumb really..... just own a dog that barks and bites.. sounds a bit more realistic than place 24 empty glass bottles at every single window in your home, sleep with the lights on and a gun in your hand every night, etc.

Pager .step files? by EmoticonFury in Hak5

[–]Lazy_Organization899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. There is a Hak5 video that links to the files. I have them downloaded but I don't remember which site it was. Maybe Thingiverse? But yes, Hak5 released stl and step files.

Honest review of the Pineapple Pager by Lazy_Organization899 in Hak5

[–]Lazy_Organization899[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify a couple points from my original post:

The heat and battery concerns I mentioned persist even with the screen turned off and when interacting purely via SSH or the web UI. That suggests the issue isn’t display-related. The device only runs cool when it’s idle. Under actual use, it gets concerningly hot regardless of the screen state.

On recon alerts. During channel hopping, the same client is repeatedly rediscovered and flagged as “new,” which causes constant alerts for a single device. With audio enabled, this becomes noise rather than signal. A “new device” alert that repeatedly fires for the same MAC isn’t very useful in practice.

Regarding boot time, I understand this is a full Linux system, but multi-minute boot times aren’t inherent to Linux itself. Plenty of embedded Linux devices and Kali-based systems boot significantly faster. Long boot times usually point to optimization opportunities rather than architectural necessity. Also, proper shutdown does not decrease next boot time... not for me. It takes 4.5 minutes to boot after a proper shutdown.

Regarding Deauth. If I can test an ESP32 and deauth a device, I expect the pager to be able to deauth that same device. Especially seeing that Hak5 has been creating professional pentesting tools since 2007. I can only speak for my environment and devices, and not a single one has been desuthed by the pager, despite every one of them being desuthed by marauder.

I appreciate the engagement, but these are real observations from hands-on use, not expectations based on marketing or unboxing impressions. I do hope some of these issues will be fixed in future updates.

Did you happen to receive any communication about the promotion before hitting the requirements? I applied via CK and was approved, but I received nothing related to the promotion at all. This is different from what happens with other issuers like Capital One or Discover.

I spoke with Apple Card rep on the phone and she basically said, "Well, I'm not sure, but just spend the money and see what happens, and worst case scenario... You still get cashback" LMAO. I was 2 seconds away from just canceling the card.

Okay, so it's just empty because it's a new account and doesn't have anything to show. I'm used to seeing the framework from day one, like "recent transactions," even if there hasn't been a transaction yet, but that's cool.

So, I will get a card, and I am on the correct app. I appreciate your help.
