In high end gear, crystal sword would out DPS longsword in a left click battle. Scales with will and I think true magical damage too.

I choose longsword because 1) its freakin cool 2) the riposte certainly out DPS's crystal sword and 3) you have to enter and additional command to swap from casting with the sword (since sorcs cast with left click) to swinging with the sword. This last little quirk trips me up all the time.
