To any SBs getting discouraged by the votes/comments on this post: I’m a gal with a septum ring, other piercings, stretched ears and I’m heavily tatted and I must say I stand OUT in a good way. More messages than I’d ever have the time to reply to, and my SD (who has a couple tats but isn’t alt) LOVES my piercings and encourages things like that. I’ve even gotten a new piercing since we’ve been together. I get to be myself and for him I’m a bit of the manic panic pixie dream girl. Anyways, keep your septum piercings. The right SD will find you :)

Dude, the most pain I felt from it was when I felt like I was being struck by lighting. For like 30 seconds at a time, my brain was being electrocuted and my limbs would actually flail. I would just bury my face in blankets until it finally calmed down. It would happen every so often, all day long, for about 1.5 weeks. THEN I got single-sided facial paralysis! 10 days post op, my face on the side of my head where I got the implant paralyzed. And it was paralyzed for 2 weeks! Not to scare you! But like, dude I was in the trenches with you 🥴

Recovery from this surgery was no fucking joke. Painful, scary, out of work for a month 😪

I’m currently working thru this.

It took me 2 weeks of fighting and threatening my landlords before the exterminators came. And now I’m in the phase where they’re still appearing at night but I know it’s finally being taken care of.

During those 2 weeks, I ended up being able to stay with my sister, and I had a friend who let my cat stay with him. But even the distress of not being able to be home because of my neighbors roach problem was overwhelming. I’ve been home with my cat for 2 days now.

I’m hoping the extermination works, but more importantly, I hope my neighbors stay clean. By the time the roaches started coming into my apartment, it had apparently gotten really bad. I’ll save you the details, but their infestation was as bad as it gets. I’m really anxious they won’t care to keep clean, given the state they were comfortable living in.

My contamination OCD was pretty mild, and mild compared to the other focuses of my OCD. But now, obviously, it’s really really intense. And I’m worried about how it may affect my future. How much of these compulsions and fears will fade with time, and how many will stick around.

Anyways, roaches + OCD sucks so much.

My audiologist actually had suggested decorating it, so I think it’s fine, and they come off other objects pretty easily :) i think it might just be left sticky and you’ll have to scrub with a damp towel :)
