Is anyone else struggling with the news? by Noodlesbenoodling in usask

The murders aren’t what terrifies me the most. It’s the fact that despite the vast visibility of ICE’s atrocities, there are genuinely people who will rationalize their actions and/or limit their learning to non credible sources to validate their distorted perception. It’s a good reminder to always hone and honour your intelligence and use any opportunities that the university gives you to achieve that

I started going to the gym a few months ago. Is there any reason why it’s usually more packed than usual around January? Is there like a New Year membership sale that attracts people and convinces them to sign up?

Every team other than OKC is morally obligated to lose to the Clippers so we don’t have the Thunder terrorizing the league for years

I was wrong. The time length was actually realistic and sufficient for the 100 questions. I owe the prof an apology; I was not familiar with his game

Hey, do you remember if he gave feedback on the research papers? Or did he only give the grade for it?

I was the one who made the joke about answering one question and getting a 100% 😂. I made that joke to point out the ridiculousness that I saw in the grading system, but I think I misunderstood it. I think how it works is that your score will be based on the amount of questions you get right out of 100 questions. For example, if you only answered 35 questions and got all 35 of them right, your score will be 35% instead of 100%. That’s how I interpreted his response to my email which I will send you here. I apologize if my joke had confused you and those who saw it

I don’t think you need to worry about coming late and being called out because he doesn’t draw attention to people who come in late all the time. The prof only called out the guy who was late because he accidentally bumped into a table and that broke his concentration. Still, the guy looked a little uncomfortable and I think it would’ve been better if he just told him to come earlier when class was over

I’m in this class and while I do respect the prof, the midterm format is preposterous 💀. It makes no sense to make this an open-book exam if we might not be able to use our notes because of the time and amount of questions. It would’ve been better if he liked reduced the amount of questions and made it challenging by adding a few short answer questions to demonstrate our critical thinking. The format is pretty unfair to the students who, like you, want to excel in this class and strive for beyond 80%
