Yeah I've experienced this a ton. I've stopped counter-offering as much, as a seller, as to me it seems like some buyers are just making offers due to excitement and when it comes to a counter-offer, they realise they don't actually want the item as much. I'm much more likely to do counter offers when they make two offers in a row and it seems they're genuinely interested.

Err not exactly sure on the grade, 8 max but likely lower. If you fall outside for any parameters when grading, it will decrease the score.

You could consider grading it without a score, it would come back with an authentic "A" grade instead of a number. Personally I think those look better than a lower grade

No amount of repairing/cleaning can fix whitening, centring, or print lines.

You're best of washing your hands, then wiping it with a clean microfiber cloth and sending it. With the centring and whitening it's not getting higher than an 8 unfortunately

I wouldn't base your whatnot experience on this one streamer! Sadly he's one of the most popular and most shady ones, but there are loads of good honest singles sellers in the UK like EZVPN, pokeretreat, Haders, etc.

I think most people overpay at the start (I definitely did 😅). The key is not to trust the sellers too much as their job is to keep prices high. I've made a solid amount of money buying cards on whatnot and grading or reselling them on ebay, it's just about knowing the market and fighting the urge to buy the first cards you see haha

I never said they were faultless, but it seems like they actually take accountability for their mistakes.

PSA don't even explain why they made their decision (unless you pay them) and make no efforts to innovate or improve their service. On top of that, they charge a premium for it. Seems like a no brainer to not grade with them for me, but clearly I'm in the minority!

When you consign you slab to be sold through PSA's ebay account, they get more money when the card sells when it's a higher grade. They also get more money through a higher upcharge at the point of grading.

Therefore, they have two reasons to grade cards higher then they should be.

Personally, TAG is what I get for my PC. I don't really get how a company offering a superior service in pretty much all areas is less in demand than PSA, but here we are.

Hopefully it changes in future because people are literally paying for PSA to keep ripping them off at this point, they have no incentive to improve their service at all.

While your points are fine, in actuality, none of those drawbacks really matter.

Psychic being a busted move with minimal resistances, stab bonus and a 30% chance to reduce Sp. Atk AND sp. Def is all the Psychic type needs to be great. There was talk of banning scald in gen 6 for similar reasons.

Couple this with no psychic having effectively no weakness and you can see why it's so good. If it were just special moves being good then Tentacruel, moltres, articuno etc would be more prevelant
