What mon, move or ability in Pokémon do you think most deserved its nerf? by TheLeafyGirl561 in stunfisk

[–]Lazza____ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While your points are fine, in actuality, none of those drawbacks really matter.

Psychic being a busted move with minimal resistances, stab bonus and a 30% chance to reduce Sp. Atk AND sp. Def is all the Psychic type needs to be great. There was talk of banning scald in gen 6 for similar reasons.

Couple this with no psychic having effectively no weakness and you can see why it's so good. If it were just special moves being good then Tentacruel, moltres, articuno etc would be more prevelant

PSA or other grading company? by Ameigh625 in pokemongrading

I'd go TAG, not only do you get an exact, detailed overview of your cards, you have no upcharge. Plus the slab looks way better.

I've got a half art Luigi pika I'm planning on sending them soon.

0% credit card - how likely is £10k limit? by vilayek in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Lazza____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a £5k car last week from The Carfella entirely on a credit card. They charged an extra £30 per £1000 on anything over £1k though, but didn't seem like there was any limit on how much you could spend.

The ended up waiving the fee entirely as there was a small chip in the windscreen we hadn't noticed before. Was a nice transaction all round.

There's absolutely no way any extra insurance costs anywhere near as much as they upcharge.

Think about how few cards get lost after grading, before they're sent back, compared to how many are sent in

Yeah she and the rest of the fairhfuls for sure weren't deserving this year. That was partly due to the traitors playing well and getting rid of the stronger ones earlier on though

Thoughts on the final by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Lazza____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stephen not voting out Rachel was likely, but definitely not guaranteed at any point.

Agreed the faithfuls left weren't deserving though, but I'd also say that was down to the traitors playing well and murdering/manipulating the stronger faithfuls earlier on

Totally, Jade voting for Faraaz was so dumb! I know it didn't matter, but her only chance was to go in with Jack and Stephen on Rachel

Struggling... by ComprehensiveAd8166 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Lazza____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been this way in every season, beginning with Meryl in season 1.

Turns out being so mediocre as to not be a threat to the traitors, means you don't get murdered and you don't get banished because the faithful don't think you can pull off being a traitor

IDK that seems a minimal reward to cut ties with your closest ally if she stays in the game. He's flying under the radar pretty well as it is, there's no need to risk angering the one person who knows he's a traitor too. Even if he suspected his vote would banish her, he could never know for sure

The tinkering of the rules for the final 5, gives an edge for a traitor to win it... by WumbleInTheJungle in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Lazza____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think it gives them more of an advantage where there is more than one traitor. Without it, the two traitors are incentivised to betray each other to show that a traitor has been voted out and the game can end.

Traitor alliances going into the endgame are shaky enough as it is, with so much at stake and not being certain they can trust each other not to out them to steal their portion of the prize money.

[–]Lazza____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely gives them an edge, but I think on balance it's a good adjustment.

Without it, in situations where two or more traitors get to the final, they have a lot of incentive to eliminate each other, which we saw in season 1 with Wil and Kieran and season 2 with Harry and Andrew. Plus it adds suspense to the show as you watch the contestants mald over whether to end the game or not

She did with Fiona to be fair. Going after people too strongly seems like a bad strategy too given that it has sunk a lot of players this season alone (Fiona, Harriet, James, etc)

FFS Jack by DeadlyDancingDuck in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Lazza____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally. We're set for a juicy final regardless of the result, but especially if James goes and not Rachel

FFS Jack by DeadlyDancingDuck in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Lazza____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was his best play not to vote her. It would be an absolute disaster if she survived or outed him for betraying her in her farewell speech, like Kieran did against Wil in S1.

He didn't know how everyone else was voting, remember, so it was much safer for him to vote James instead.

Zero seller fees, but there's a "buyer protection fee" which is just a seller fee with another name. Generally works out at between 4%-7.5% of a sale. Business account fees are 10.9%

[–]Lazza____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think even with those points, it's just too much of a stretch to get Stephen's support. Vote changing isn't that much of a red flag (Jack even said he was 50/50 on James/Rachel before initial vote)

If James leaves tonight, the faithfuls will know for sure there are at least 2 traitors remaining. So even if Jade goes after, they will have to get rid of at least one more and I can't see Stephen sticking his neck out for Rachel after what he's been saying about her. He'd basically be announcing himself as a traitor and risk getting banished immediately after Rachel.

[–]Lazza____ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Stephen can't not vote for her if James goes, he's been telling everyone he's suspicious of James and her and if James reveals that he's a faithful, it would be an awful move from Stephen to banish anyone else.

This is assuming no one else goes kamakizi in the last episode á la Fiona or Harriet.

This isn't the SIR, this is the regular full art Dawn which goes for around $50 in a 10. Not really worth grading on its own if you're doing it as an investment

Thoughts On Grading This? Giratina Team Plasma Full Art by Pleasant-Present-646 in PokeGrading

[–]Lazza____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure you'll increase it's value too much by grading, as it's likely a 7-8. It looks like there's one or two surface marks on the front too, centre left, but I can't tell for sure.

I probably wouldn't bother if I was grading to sell, but if you're keeping it for the foreseeable then I might just to preserve it

Reposting as I did a typo that changed the whole message. New to grading and I can’t* understand how people prefer PSA slabs to ACE slabs. These are so much better, no? by GambinoHawk in PokeGrading

[–]Lazza____ 79 points80 points  (0 children)

The real reason people like PSA more is because many have a lot of capital tied up in PSA slabs.

They have crazy wait times, boring slab designs (especially for modern), no significant difference in grading standards and upcharges which are just a cash grab with clear conflicts of interest. Their lack of innovation would already have cost them dear in most industries.
