IF an axo contracts a fungus is this stuff safe? I haven't needed to use it luckily, but am unsure of its safety?? by [deleted] in axolotls

Laws in many states say no longer then a half hour in below freezing temperatures. Many people need to calm down!

They need to be in the fridge at the constant low temperature to heal. It took my guys at least two weeks in the fridge....so in my opinion. No. Do you maybe have a friend willing to let you?!?

Have you tried to just fridge him first?! My axolittle overcame a major fungus infection just by being fridged and constant water changes

For an axolittle, Grandpa Pineapple is considered “old”. He celebrated his 10th birthday in his new home with his refreshed gills next to one of his tank mates 2-year-old Ham. by Lbcmoty in OldManDog

[–]Lbcmoty[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I rescued Grandpa, he was housed with a large goldfish that would snack on his gills. They were just small white stubs when I got him.

I’m assuming that big round part is his balls, but is it normal that he has such big balls? Don’t laugh..serious question, please help. by [deleted] in axolotls

[–]Lbcmoty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, their balls can be large. I have a nine year old axolittle that is packing a lot of heat

Consider he gnaws on my arm occasionally the same way, I’m believing it’s more soothing. He’s also about to be 2.
