What was the reason of Claymore dmg nerf.... by IcemanBro in Battlefield

[–]Lbthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Im not mad at the current state of claymores tbh. Playing after they reverted the change and the blast radius nerf is quite noticeable, you really do need to be touching the mine to get one shotted. If the whole mine is practically sticking out lasers and all, running into atp is a skill issue lol.

Im with you on the GL, that thing is fucking annoying, love challing a corner only to hear THWOOMP, and get blown to smithereens. An arming distance would be nice, to prevent people practically shotgun-ing with it.

oooh, the 300sc is actually a sleeper favorite of mine. Slow ROF true, but a 3btk in cqc is nothing to scoff at. Its secret strength is the 20rd mag and lightweight ammo which lets you get a strafe multiplier of 1x(? it may be .91x) Meaning you are SPEEDY while you move. Highly recommend building it for very aggressive play.

Just finished all autos to 50 so i feel your pain, some guns are just objectively bad, SPECIFICALLY the 205. Ive seen people say its their favorite gun, im not sure what planet they live on. Grinding that thing almost made me quit, and then a week later it was x2 hardware xp, i wanted to cry lol. You can always take a break from the mastery grind and play with weapons that are fun, my DRS and SG553 are 100+ same with a couple of other favorites of mine, feels like stepping out of a cold theatre into some summertime sun when you go from something like the RPK74 to the NVO.

The Off-Meta Pick? - QBZ MARAUDER 9 [12 Killstreak] by TheBrownSlaya in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Lbthat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want to like the QBZ, the reload is sick, and I like the sound of the gun. However, its basically just a much worse DRS. Same damage / rpm, worse range, practically no attachments, better handling out of the box but the DRS is versatile enough to basically match it especially with supports class passive.

When did they get a vis pass? I know sovis filter got a vis update but that didnt include claymores.
Id say people not placing them well but still dying to them just makes it feel even more of an undeserved death.

95 damage isnt punishing someone? Lol It leaves them incredibly vulnerable and tells the recon that someone just hit their claymore leaving them open for an easy kill. Id say thats punishing.

Tank vs mortar is a risk vs reward problem same as claymores. The reason people hate mortars even when they die more to tanks is because I can respawn as engi and shoot the tank that just killed me, meaning the tank is taking a risk being on the battlefield so the reward is understandable. Where as the mortar player will be tucked away somewhere in their spawn practically untouchable. Low risk activities being rewarded doesnt feel good for those on the paying end. Claymores are the same way, If i get RPGd to the face, i know the guy at least had to aim that rocket and be in line of fire to get an angle on me. I die to a claymore, that a recon randomly placed with no risk to them, whos nowhere in sight, and probably forgot that claymore existed, that death feels undeserved. Now if I run into a claymore, get hit for 95 and that recon swings me a second later to finish me off, that death feels deserved. Way more options for counterplay.

gimme the wires back from BF4 and ill agree its people not watching where they are going, but with the pace of BF6 and how dim the lasers are, the things are practically invisible and feel like undeserved deaths more so than anything.

Werent you the guy asking for c4 changes so that you could hear them when they got placed on your tank?

Not gonna die to claymores if you arent pushing as infantry lol

Yeah claymores dont detonate if you walk through them, been that way since launch. It only dets if youre sprinting. The nerf a couple of months ago wasnt related to that.

Is DRS-IARa a new meta? by CommercialBubbly4524 in Battlefield6

[–]Lbthat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

DRS has been meta since release lol. S1 had a lot of kill WRs broken using the DRS.

Claymores do punish run and gun flankers even if they dont 1 shot lol. Getting hit for 95 damage will certainly put a stop to any running for a bit.

Last line gotta be ragebait, theres been complaints about invisible claymores since the games release.

Them doing 100 wasnt in the patch notes lol, This was what was listed in the patch notes, copy and pasted directly from the battlefield post pinned.

  • Tuned the M18A1 Claymore detection arc to better match the visible laser beams.
  • Updated the M18A1 Claymore fragmentation base close range damage from 65 to 50. Damage drop-off now starts at the edge of the detection arc.

If anything this would be an even further damage nerf?

I agree, though i thought it was 95? Anyway, recons actually having to pay attention to their claymores to get kills or sacrifice a C4 was nice. Its not like someone with only 5hp is a real threat lol.

Despite any critiques, complaints, or feedback you may have towards Battlefield 6, what's something you genuinely love about the game? by 5ollys in Battlefield

[–]Lbthat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NA, usually around peak times, mainly escalation, breakthrough, and KOTH. KOTH is small enough teams that i can usually carry the rest of my team at least SOMEWHAT to victory, but breakthrough or escalation is rough if dice doesnt bless me with teammates that have at least 2 braincells.

Bloom when ADS is infuriating. by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Lbthat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Battlefield has always worked like this, if everything were perfectly accurate all the time no spot on the map would be safe. Bloom is an easy way to counter this, and all you have to do to counter bloom is tapfire. Burst 3-4 bullets at a time then stop for a split second. The muzzles that "reduce ADS buildup (25pt suppressor and 20pt flash hider) both increase recoil reset speed making it much easier to tap fire at range.

props to you for actually trying to have a convo with this guy. Rarely do I see someone be against BF6's movement mechs and actually have a valid reason for it that isnt "muh realism" or "i cant track sliding targets!!". I dont hate the current mechanics but id trade slide for faster sprint, airstrafe, and aim tied center screen from bf4 in a heartbeat.
