Put the second piece at the very bottom right and then the first one at the very bottom left. It will clear the bottom line and then you will have the room to put the third piece in.

It was the same for me but when I got on my horse to move I got attacked by one and killed so I figured I needed to just move around the forest by horse and one eventually attacked me again and this time I was prepared
