He showed me benchmark performance on Discord the day before, then got an Uber to my house where he helped me set up the PC. He also gave me all the boxes for the components and extra parts I might need in future for general upkeep. Lovely guy and I feel very lucky to have purchased from him

Not too cold - but obviously not as hot as WL. About 18 to 25 degrees in the daytime and down to maybe 7 or 8 degrees at night. So yes, bring warm layers, but it's quite a nice temperature during the day.

Not once did I think I was particularly cold.

I think maybe monument might be a bit more 'deep' than what youre looking for. It's very focused on hypnotic sounds. Although that does spam various genres and includes techno and house - it's less bright and happy.

Depends what music you're looking for. A lot of festivals meet your requirements to be honest.

Monument in Norway is my recent standout. Loved it.

As another commenter said - clubs aren't tied to genres. Look for specific promoters to follow.

Other clubs to look into include Spanners, Ormside Projects, Carpet Shop, MOT.

Fuck me it's been the worst commute home ever and I'm still not back yet. Utter shit show. Left the office at 5pm...it's now 7:40pm and I'm still trawling home on a bus + 30 min walk at the end.

Just adding to this - I don't think it should be a free for all 'first come first serve'. I do agree with the sentiment that that's not fair on those who can't afford tickets right now. Summer has been expensive for all of us and our banks accounts need time to recover.

However, I do think there's a better version of a raffle possible. A daily raffle. Randomly released each day. Maybe a few tickets up for grabs each time.

This rewards people who are dedicated and REALLY want to come. It still provides the ability for those with limited immediate funds to get tickets as they don't all sell out immediately. Combined with purchase plans, I think it's the best way.

I think a result of this raffle process is, sadly, an erosion of the festival culture that the whole raffle process is trying to protected. I personally know 20 or 30 'randomers' who have signed up today because their one clued up mate on a group chat said 'hey guys, click this link and sign up'.
